Year 12 students at Northern Beaches Secondary College, Manly campus, have launched a student-led program to get their cohort ready for the HSC year.

Level Up! sets the whole year group a small practical challenge every week, drawn from what has worked for past HSC classes. The first asked students to build a proper system for organising notes across every subject. The second was to form a study group with rules that keep its members accountable.

Students applied to join the leadership team, planned the program over a day & now meet weekly to set the next challenge. Every challenge completed earns a pom-pom in a jar, a running record of what the grade has done together.

The habits behind it, organisation, follow-through & turning up for the people counting on you, are the same ones that carry into TAFE, university & work.
