Playing to those at the Townsville Hospital by Orpheus Strings has been a tradition of this group for many years and it's wonderful to witness our Pimlico students bringing the joy of music to the community. Congratulations Miss Mulligan and students.

Cleveland Singers Inc. proudly present, in association with Great Barrier Reef Orchestra, Handel's Messiah - Prelude.

Handel's oratorio is structured in three parts and follows the liturgical year. The first part corresponds with Advent and Christmas, beginning with the foretelling of the coming of the Messiah by several prophets, his birth, the annunciation to the shepherds by the angels, and comes to its conclusion with reflections on the Messiah's deeds. Regardless of one's religious beliefs, it is hard not to be moved by this visual and aural spectacle that is the Messiah, brought to you by the Cleveland Chorale, local soloists and members of the Great Barrier Reef Orchestra - one not to be missed.

This year, our Year 12 students have chosen to support QENDO – an organisation making a real difference for people affected by endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, and infertility across Australia and New Zealand.

Since its founding in 1988, QENDO has:
• Championed the National Action Plan for Endometriosis.
• Delivered Australia’s only dedicated helpline for endo, adeno, PCOS, and infertility.
• Built support networks through QENDOMeets in 21+ locations and the QENDO app.
• Advocated nationally, helping secure a historic $58 million federal investment in endometriosis support and research.

The 75th Townsville Eisteddfod begins this Saturday with both Saturday and Sunday’s performances being staged in our Denise Glasgow Performing Arts Centre…and from Tuesday back at its regular home, the Townsville Civic Theatre.

From the classroom to the stage — Pimlico’s Year 12s are putting on a show like no other!
This Tuesday night the Denise Glasgow Performing Arts Centre will come alive with Pimlico’s Got Talent followed by a massive Community Concert packed with singing, dancing and more. 🎶💃
It’s not just about the spotlight though, year 12 students Lexi, Elann and ZiXin told our Saturday Breakfast host Jess Naunton that this show is raising funds for a legacy project close to their hearts: an undercover courtyard area to shelter future generations.

Act 1 features our first ever "Pimlico’s Got Talent" commencing at 5:30 pm.
Act 2 sees the continuation of our Community Concert featuring alumni, community members, Pimlico staff, students and friends, from 8:00pm ending at 9:00pm. With the announcement of our innaugural Pimlico's Got Talent winners at the end of the concert.

𝗣𝗶𝗺𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀 are again performing at 'Brass Under the Arches', as part of the Concerts in the Cathedral series. Hear them perform alongside ensembles from The Cathedral School and Kirwan High within the wonderful setting of St. James' Cathedral.

This Thursday evening we are holding our Easter String Concert at St James Cathedral in the city.

The concert kicks off at 6pm and will feature students from years 7-12 and students from our partner primary schools.

The students would love to see as many friendly faces from Pimlico as possible.

The National Board of ABODA are proud to announce the Biennial Australian National Youth Composition Competition (ANYCC) for 2025.

It is the vision of the National Board that this composition competition will encourage school aged composers to write for developing wind band and string orchestra.
The ANYCC is open to all school aged composers residing in Australia.

The Melbourne Grammar School Symphony Orchestra, one of Victoria's premier school ensembles, is beginning their December tour in North Queensland, with St. James' Cathedral being one of the performance venues.

Are they a match for the talented Pimlico SHS musicians? You will have to come along next Tuesday evening (10th December) to find out and experience the program of works they will perform.

The Melbourne Grammar School Symphony Orchestra is touring Australia from north to south in December 2024, performing in seven locations from far north Queensland down through to outback New South Wales.

Members of the School community as well as their extended families and friends are invited to attend a concert not to be missed.

Our talented musicians will showcase their skills in concertos by Berlioz, Brahms, Dvorak, Mozart and Rachmaninov. These entertaining programs will include Australian works written for the orchestra, music from films including How to Train your Dragon and plenty of other classical favourites along the way.
