While kids wandered around last night dressed for Halloween, in the Southern Hemisphere, we're in Spring heading towards Summer. Things have sprung to life, the birds that live in our yard have welcomed new babies to their nests and last night among the cobwebs and little skeletons and Witches, the Faery Queen rode forth with her retinue.
Today's card is from the seasons of the witch: Beltane edition. Surrender. As the leaves burst forth and flowers bloom, it's time to do the same where we step forth from the things that are holding us in place, that have wounded us, that have made us think this is all there is.
'Holding on too long is just a fear of letting go.' Are lyrics from Queens of the Stoneage's Like clockwork. We hold on too long to the things that hurt us because letting go, we don't know how far we'll fall, but what if we fly?
