Blair Families:

Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Kids having the opportunity to choose their own books empowers and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers.
Every purchase at the Scholastic Book Fair benefits our school.

The Fair will take place from
Monday October 19th to Thursday October 22nd in the Blair Library 📚

WHEN AND WHERE:
The Book Fair is from Monday October 19th to Thursday October 22nd at the Blair Library.
The Book Fair is open to families during these times:
•Monday
October 19 •Tuesday October 20 • Wednesday October 21 • Thursday October 22

Before School 8:15-8:40am
After School 2:45-3:45pm

Every student will also visit the Book Fair with their class. Students in Divisions 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 will be able to preview the fair and make a wish list of books they like. Students in Divisions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be able to purchase items during their visit; these students can bring cash with them to the fair, if you feel comfortable.

PRIZES!
• All students will be entered to win a book gift certificate for themselves and their teacher. No purchase necessary! The Prize will be drawn Thursday morning during our morning announcements.

• Anyone who buys a book for their classroom teacher from their Teacher’s Wishlist will get a chance to spin the Wheel of Prizes and win a prize. Thank you for helping to build your child’s classroom library!

• There will be one Golden Ticket hidden in every classroom! Each Golden Ticket is worth $15 Scholastic Dollars. More information will be shared with the students before the book fair begins.

Welcome Back Blair Families!

I hope you had a wonderful summer!

We are very much looking forward to having you back to the school on Tuesday September 8th.

*Our new kindergarten students’ families have been sent a separate email regarding the Gradual Entry schedule for Week 1 and 2 and further information about kindergarten.

All current grades 1-7 students, please attend school on Tuesday September 8, from 1-2pm.

Students will return to their last year’s homeroom, following the same morning routine of where to line up/meet your teacher as last year.

Wednesday September 9 and Thursday September 10, 8:45am-2:45pm

Last year’s Division 1-8 will follow the same line up/classroom routine as last year

Last year’s Division 9 (Ms. Zekulin/Ms. Higgins) will meet in the Library; line up at door #10

Last year's Division 10 (Ms. Roxburgh) will meet in the Multi-Purpose Room; line up at door #2

Friday September 11, 8:45am

We anticipate being able to begin in our 2026-2027 homerooms on Friday morning, September 11.

Hi Blair Families:

Vancouver Region Educational Services, a local non-profit that provides affordable educational programs for families in the Richmond community; are currently running a Back-to-School Donation Drive to collect school supplies for local Richmond families in need. On August 15, local families in need who register will be able to come pick up free school supplies for the upcoming school year.

Time: 2:00pm – 5:00pm
