Tonight we were in Great Notley to assist a very young and energetic cat out of a tree. The lovely cat was having fun exploring until it couldn't find its way down. The crews managed to get her close with the offer of food and then managed to catch her and return to her grateful owners.

We are looking for a hot food van for our open day on 6th June at Braintree Fire Station. This is the same day as the Braintree Carnival and always has a big crowd. We are looking for someone who must have hygiene and liability insurance that can help with food for our visitors and the passing carnival trade. If anyone can help, can you please get in touch

🥚🚒 Our crews had an egg-cellent drill night over Easter!

Putting their skills to the test, they practiced tool handling using an egg and the Holmatro spreaders - talk about working under shell-shocking pressure! 😅

No eggs were harmed in the making of this training (well… maybe just a few cracks along the way 👀), but it’s safe to say the team scrambled to get it right and didn’t yolk around when it came to precision.

Another cracking effort by all involved, keeping skills sharp and responses egg-stra ready when it matters most.

Our on-call firefighters all live or work within 5 minutes of the fire station and are paid to protect their community 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒
No two days are the same and you will learn new skills.
We are especially looking for shift workers or day cover. 🚒
