Our Dudley based B Squadron said a heartfelt farewell to a Black Country legend last night, after joining in 1989 for 36 years of dedicated and loyal service Squadron Leader Maj J ‘Rick’ Astley hand the the reins of command (and keys) over to Maj MH.

This will not be the last we see of Rick as he assumes a new role within our Brigade and also has been selected to serve Dudley as a Deputy Lord Lieutenant and will continue to support the Squadron and Community in the Black Country!

We all would like to wish him the best in his new roles and look forward to seeing what the future holds! And we also wish a very warm welcome to Maj MH and all the very best for his future at B Squadron!

Anti-Tank

Trooper W from the part time Reserve Regiment the Royal Yeomanry is a legal consultant. On the weekends of his choice, he’s paid to receive specialist training, including the use of this NLAW missile.

Battle tested and instrumental in the defence of Ukraine, this legendary weapon is just one of several key systems our recce troops learn to use.

Give it a shot. Join the RY today
