We're pleased to announce the appointments to the Board of Leeds Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT), which will formally launch on 1 April 2027 following the merger of Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

The new Board brings together a wealth of experience, expertise and leadership to help shape the future of integrated healthcare across our communities. Alongside Chair Helen Thomson DL and Chief Executive Dr Sara Munro, appointments have now been confirmed for the executive and non-executive director teams.

From January 2027, the Board will begin operating as a Shadow Board, with one of its first priorities being the development of a strategy for the new organisation.

This marks an important milestone in our journey towards becoming a single trust, delivering joined-up care across mental health, community and specialist services.

Congratulations to Samantha Ross, our September award winner!

Sam was recognised by a colleague for her exceptional care, compassion and dedication, going above and beyond to support a mother in crisis when it mattered most. Her actions made a real difference and truly reflect the values we strive to demonstrate every day at Leeds Community Healthcare.

Thank you, Sam, for the kindness, professionalism and commitment you bring to your role.

A big thank you to everyone who attended our Annual General Meeting and took the time to hear about the progress, achievements and challenges from the past year.

We were pleased to share updates on how we're delivering care closer to home, improving services for patients and communities, strengthening our financial position, and looking ahead to the future of healthcare in Leeds.

We would also like to thank our colleagues, partners and local communities for their continued support and commitment. By working together, we can continue to improve health and wellbeing across Leeds and provide the best possible care for the people we serve.

Thank you for being part of the conversation and for helping shape what comes next.

Digital inclusion is about ensuring everyone can access the care and support they need, in the way that works best for them.

At today's AGM, we celebrated the progress made through our digital inclusion programme, delivered in partnership with 100% Digital Leeds and AireLogic. Amanda Jackson, Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer (ACCIO) and Digital Inclusion Lead talked about how we've embedded digital inclusion into routine care, helping staff better understand service users' digital abilities, preferences and support needs.
This work is helping us design more inclusive services, provide targeted support and ensure non-digital options remain available where they are needed.
Key achievements include:
✅ 9 Digital Health Hubs delivered across Leeds
✅ A dedicated Digital Health Hub for young carers
✅ More than 500 service users supported
✅ 22 volunteers helping people build digital skills and confidence
By identifying digital barriers and providing practical, one-to-one support, we're helping more people access digital health services while promoting fair and equitable access to care for everyone.
