We are seeking to recruit a passionate, motivated individual to join our growing team based in Leyland, Lancashire. Preston Care & Repair is an independent, charitable organisation that aims to provide the best possible support and services to help keep people safe, secure, warm and independent at home.

Multi-Skilled Tradesperson (Full Time - 37 hours per week, 26 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays)
Salary £27,767 - £30,243 (£14.43/hr - £15.72/hr)

Examples of works Installing stair rails, grab rails, step adaptations, external handrails, modular ramp or step systems and bathroom adaptations. Through our handyperson service we carry out small jobs for people in their homes, helping them stay safe and independent.

Our clients are at the heart of everything we do, so a caring, compassionate nature is a must. We also need people who have great communication skills and take time to listen to our clients to ensure we understand all their needs and how we can best support them.

We have been established for more than 30 years in and around the Preston area. We now deliver services right across Lancashire including Preston, Chorley, South Ribble, West Lancashire, Fylde and Pendle.

The young people at St Mary's Catholic High School in Leyland hold a monthly dementia cafe.

A new funding scheme is available to South Ribble home owners to help insulate their homes for winter, measures available include loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, boiler replacements and boiler servicing for those who meet the criteria below.

Being on a low income, living in a thermal inefficient home, having higher heating needs and high fuel costs can all increase the risks of living in a cold home. The funding is aimed at those most vulnerable to harm from cold or damp homes. This could include a wide range of individuals who either are, or are at serious risk of, experiencing poor health and wellbeing due to a cold home.
