Yesterday, our Year 3 pupils enjoyed an afternoon taking part in Scoot Safe, where they learned how to use a scooter safely. They explored important safety skills, including how to cross the road safely, what protective equipment to wear, and how to carry out safety checks before using a scooter. The children had lots of fun practising their scooter skills and building their confidence while staying safe.🤩👍

Earlier this week, Year 3 stepped back in time to the Stone Age during Forest School! 🔥🦴
The children explored how early humans lived by building shelters, creating natural tools, gathering resources, and taking part in a range of hands-on activities inspired by life thousands of years ago.
Working together, they demonstrated fantastic teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills while developing a deeper understanding of history through outdoor learning. It was wonderful to see them connecting with nature, using their imaginations, and embracing the challenges of Stone Age life.🤩🌱✨

On Friday, our ECO Club paid a visit to our local recycle centre Eco Town. The children spent the day learning more about sustainability, environmental responsibility and the small changes we can all make to help protect our planet.🌏
Throughout the visit, the children took part in a range of engaging activities designed to encourage them to think about recycling, reducing waste, conserving energy and caring for the natural environment. They asked thoughtful questions and demonstrated a genuine passion for making a positive difference.
Together we can all make a difference!!🌍🤩

Last week in Reception, the children enjoyed exploring all things farm-related. The children have loved using the farm shop in our role-play area, drawing their favourite farm animals, and engaging with our farm-themed small world and sensory activities.
We also enjoyed sharing our special books from home and talking about why they are meaningful to us. The children showed great confidence in speaking about their books and listening to the experiences of others. 🤩👍

Five of our wonderful Farington staff members took part in the Pretty Muddy 5K – Race for Life on Saturday.
The race certainly lived up to its name, but despite the mud, they had lots of fun along the way!
A huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored and supported this fundraiser so far. Together, they have raised a fantastic £789 to date.
We're so close to reaching £800! If anyone would like to help us get over that milestone, we would be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference.
Thank you for your continued support! 💖🏃♀️🌟

To celebrate the FIFA World Cup 2026, SRBC organised a football festival designed to promote community, teamwork and a love of the game. A number of our Year 3 children took part in an inter-school football competition, with each school representing a different country throughout the event. The matches were played in a fast-paced 5-a-side format, allowing all participants to showcase their skills, teamwork and sportsmanship.
