We're delighted to share that Habitat ReStore will launch on the Long Mile Road in 2027! 👀👏

We are thankful that Rethink Ireland's Entrepreneurship Impact Fund is supporting our scaling strategy. Habitat ReStore Long Mile Road will be the 10th ReStore making a difference for people and communities across Ireland ♻️

We are now looking for local people to join our team in the newest ReStore - all information can be found on our website: www.habitatireland.org/jobs

It was wonderful to be a part of the International Diaspora Forum's , International Day for the Eradication of Poverty event earlier this month.

Volunteer Coordinator, Nai, spoke about Habitat's work locally and globally and the impact the ReStore has for local people experiencing furniture poverty.

Nai also shared about the ways that the local community can get involved with ReStore, through shopping, donating or volunteering!

Today we are celebrating our colleague Michael Ramsey, who has served Habitat for Humanity for 20 years!

As a dedicated member of our Finance team, Michael works behind the scenes to enable our mission, and provides important support in the Habitat office. He has also volunteered locally, globally and in ReStore over the years!

We are so thankful for Michael's years of faithful commitment to put God’s love into action as part of the Habitat family.

🌟 SOCIAL ENTERPRISE AWARD WINNERS🌟

We were delighted to be at last night’s Social Enterprise Northern Ireland awards, and even more excited to win in two categories; Social Impact award and Environmental/Circular Social Enterprise of the Year.

Thank you to all of our volunteers, customers, donors and staff who continue to support our work as we deliver impacts for local people, communities and the environment.

Jenny, Habitat Ireland’s Chief Executive said ‘We are excited that the impact of Habitat ReStore is recognised by two SENI awards. Our focus for ReStore has always been on tackling growing poverty and inequality, lack of employment opportunities for those who would be considered hard to reach and too much reusable waste to landfill.

We have been so blessed by the people who have joined us along the way. Now with 9 ReStores in our network our wonderful staff team and hundreds of volunteers deliver real change for people, communities and the planet. Together we build sustainable communities.”

Big thank you to all of the volunteers and staff who helped get the Christmas decorations and homeware sorted and out for sale in ReStore Lisburn!🎅🏻

There’s a few happy faces pictured here, but lots more who have helped behind the scenes to clean, test and assemble - so thank you all! 🎄

Decorations and Christmas items available in ReStore Lisburn while stocks last - but keep your eyes on all of the ReStore pages for updates - we think Habitat ReStore Ballymena may have an announcement soon 👀

We loved getting to engage with lots of students at QUBSU's volunteering and wellness fair this week!

ReStore Belfast's volunteer coordinator, Karen, supported students to repurpose old tiles into coasters and chat to attendees about how they can get involved with Habitat and ReStore!

If you'd be interested in volunteering with your local ReStore, learn more on our website: www.habitatireland.org/restore

Climate-related hazards, including floods and landsides, threaten homes and livelihoods across Nepal. For families with limited resources, losing a home can mean losing their safety, stability and means of recovery.

Habitat Nepal focuses on helping families access safer homes and supporting communities to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters.

Within 24 hours of the flash floods in August, Habitat Nepal were on the ground, responding to the disaster. Families like Manju’s, who lost everything, were supported with Emergency Shelter Kits (ESKs) and supported to rebuild their lives.

A house is more than just a place to live, it’s a gateway towards a better future.

Your donations will make a difference for more families who need a safe place to call home. Give what you can today: www.habitatireland.org/donate

It was wonderful to join the congregations of Trim and Athboy Union of Parishes yesterday at their Harvest Thanksgiving Service in St. Patrick's Cathedral, Trim.

Our Chief Executive, Jenny Williams, spoke to the congregation about Habitat Ireland's work locally and globally, including the 'Building Hope Brick by Brick' campaign that the Parishes have been fundraising for, which is supporting communities in Malawi 🇲🇼

The cathedral also displayed the artwork of students of St Patrick's National School, designed around the theme of Home, showing the things they appreciated and were thankful for 🏠
