102 REME is an Engineering Army Reserve unit based in North England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We are the Northern Engineers! We are a family!

We are part of the Army Reserve- The part time Army, training and serving our country around our civilian employment and family life! We can volunteer to deploy on operations and assist with home defence and resilience. We provide engineering capability and service support to our fellow Army Reserve Units and the Regular Army. We are paid to train, enhancing both our Engineering skills and skills for life such as leadership and teamwork- things that help us excel in our everyday lives! We are a close team who have each others back, support each other and encourage each other to be the best we can be! We train all over Northern Ireland, Scotland and the North of England. Come and see if we could be part of your next adventure?

🛠 Bringing the Battalion together! 🙌

Officers of 102 REME travelled from across Northern Ireland, Scotland and Northern England for our Officers’ Development Weekend.

The day focused on planning the Battalion’s future training programme, followed by an excellent Regimental Dinner at Durham Town Hall, welcoming new faces and catching up with returning members.

Training, teamwork and regimental camaraderie.

Another great weekend together. 👏

🛠️ LIFTING THE DECKS CHALLENGE 26 🛠️

For six years, Lifting the Decks has inspired the REME Family to prioritise their mental and physical wellbeing. This year, we’re getting stronger — together.

Iron is forged through heat and pressure. It is shaped, strengthened, and made resilient. We are no different. The challenges we face shape us. Six challenges. Six ways to grow stronger. One REME Family.

Strength doesn’t come from avoiding pressure; it comes from learning to withstand it, adapt, and support one another through it.

This October, take the challenge. Build healthy habits. Look out for your mates. And help strengthen the REME Family

Start the conversation. It could save a life.

Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we’re reminded that looking out for one another matters.

In the Army, knowing our people and supporting each other is fundamental. Sometimes, simply asking “Are you okay?” and taking the time to really listen can be the first step towards someone getting the help they need.

You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need to start the conversation.

If you’re worried about someone, Ask. Intervene. Disclose.

And if you’re struggling yourself, please remember: you don’t have to face it alone.

Take a moment today to check in with a colleague, friend or family member. A conversation might mean more than you realise.

Start the conversation. Listen. Support. Connect.
