Music Editorial resources The Salvation Army's mission through the provision of brass and choral sheet music.

Since it's inception in 1883, Music Editorial has sought to provide The Salvation Army with music that is both compatible with and practical to the movement's needs. Primarily, this music resources brass bands and choral groups and is published by Salvationist Publishing and Supplies Ltd with the sole aim to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

🎶🔥 Hearts Ablaze 🔥🎶

Music has the power to stir our hearts, but true revival begins when our hearts are set ablaze for God and his kingdom.

Take a look at this video of 'Hearts Ablaze', a new piece released in the October 2026 UNITY SERIES journal. Written for Sale Salvation Army Band (Bandmaster Jonathan Evans) by Marcus Venables (Canada and Bermuda Territory).

It features the worship song 'Build your kingdom here' and carries a powerful challenge for us all: to be people who pray, serve and live so that God's kingdom is seen in our communities.

May this music inspire us afresh to be available for God's purposes and to join in his work of bringing hope, transformation and salvation to the world.

Major Howard Davies is known and loved throughout The Salvation Army world for his inspiring compositions. This latest piece features the choruses 'Let the lower lights be burning', 'O I love him' and 'God is with us all the time'. It combines memorable melodies with a powerful message of faith and assurance.

This video excerpt, taken from the demonstration track recording day, features 'God is with us all the time'; a timely reminder that whatever challenges we face, we never walk alone. God's presence goes before us, walks beside us and remains with us in every season of life.

Take a moment to listen and reflect on the promise that has encouraged countless Christians through the years: "I am with you always" (Matthew 28:20).

As Remembrance approaches, we pause to give thanks for those who sacrificed so much in the service of others. Their courage and selflessness remind us of the words of Jesus: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

These lyrics, written by Commissioner Robert Street, offer an opportunity to reflect on sacrifice, gratitude and our hope in God’s peace. Set to the familiar tune 'Aurelia' (T.B. 213) or any suitable 7.6.7.6.D metre tune, we pray they will help congregations and communities mark this important season of remembrance and commitment.

1 Lord, help us to remember
Our gift of life is free,
Each way ahead unfolding
With possibility.
Days full of love and laughter,
Of challenge, pain or care,
Help us to help each other,
Together as we share.

The lives that were cut short
Because of wars and hatred
