Did you know body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) mainly impacts young people, but it can affect anyone, any age, any gender?
Someone living with BDD may spend a lot of time worrying about flaws in their appearance. These flaws are often unnoticeable to others.
Do you:
• worry a lot about a specific area of your body (particularly your face)?
• spend a lot of time comparing your looks with other people's?
• look at yourself in mirrors a lot or avoid mirrors altogether?
• go to a lot of effort to conceal ‘flaws’ for example, by spending a long time combing your hair or applying makeup?
BDD can be very upsetting and it can really impact your daily life, including your work, social life and relationships.
If you think you have BDD, you can speak to your GP or refer yourself directly to an NHS talking therapies service without a referral from a GP.

For some people, it can lead to serious illness and be life-threatening.

RSV can be serious - but the RSV vaccine can help.
RSV is a common cause of coughs and colds. Most people get it several times during their life.
It usually gets better by itself, but in some people, including older adults, it can cause serious illnesses, such as pneumonia and bronchiolitis.
The NHS is offering a free RSV vaccine to those aged 75 or over which:
✅ Protects you against severe illness
✅ Reduces the risk of hospitalisation
📞 Contact your GP surgery to book your RSV vaccination.
You don’t have to wait to be invited.

Stay safe by:
🔒 Closing blinds and curtains in the morning to keep your home cool
💧 Drink fluids regularly
🚫 Stay out of the sun at the hottest time of day (11am to 3pm)
It is crucial to check in on people who are at higher risk of becoming seriously unwell:
