Marxism and Marxist societies do not pose a threat to the US. The real threats are selfishness, racism, intolerance, and armed violence.

Another threat is the scandalous and growing inequality that is alienating ever larger sections of society. Political corruption and the increasing role of money in government administration and the selection of those in power are also threats.

Another threat is the arrogance with which other nations are attacked, foreign interests are imposed upon them and their values and sovereign rights are disregarded.

When conscientiously pursued, Marxism and socialism seek to achieve greater social justice and solidarity.

Today marks the birth of a new beacon of hope in Cuba: the Outpatient Oncology Treatment Unit at the Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology. It is not merely a centre of science; it is a centre of science with a soul.

In the words of its director, Dr Luis Eduardo Martín Rodríguez: “In oncology, it is not enough to provide high-quality care: we must treat patients with compassion. May this unit be a haven of hope.”

And they do so despite the brutal blockade and the energy siege that besieges the country. World-leading doctors who, every day, put on the mantle of humanity to treat between 90 and 120 patients with professionalism and warmth. That is Cuba. 🇨🇺💪

Excellent news: the AICA Laboratories cytostatic plant is resuming operations and will help ensure a supply of medicines for Cuban cancer patients. 💪 Yet another example of how, despite the brutal energy blockade and economic constraints, Cuba remains committed to the lives and health of its people. Yesterday, a powerful wave of international solidarity washed over the UK Parliament. British MPs, peers, and senior trade union leaders stood united under a giant banner to send an uncompromising message to Washington: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐮𝐛𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐝. ✊

As the unprecedented 2026 energy blockade and almost seven decades of US economic warfare continue to cause severe shortages of food, fuel, and medicine, British civil society is raising its voice to say 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉.

Here is how the UK is standing with Cuba:

📜 𝟏𝟏𝟕 𝐌𝐏𝐬 have officially signed Motion 2739, urging the British Government to uphold international law and oppose the Trump administration's latest sanctions.

🗣️ 𝟐𝟑 𝐌𝐏𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 gathered publicly outside Parliament in a formidable cross-party demonstration for Cuban sovereignty.

🤝 𝟏𝟕 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 released an open letter warning against the dangerous escalation of US hostility, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the Cuban people.

The message from British legislators is clear and resounding:
