The Head of Chancery represented the AHC in the day-long Boishakhi Mela in Manchester organised by One Chattagram. The mela showcased Bangladesh’s rich cultural heritage through traditional food, handicrafts, and cultural displays.

A team of Bangladesh Assistant High Commission led by the Assistant High Commissioner watched and supported the Bangladesh Women T20 team in its one-off match against Scotland team. The match was held at Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh. The next match of will be held at the same ground against Netherlands tomorrow (31 May). Bangladeshi community around Edinburgh are requested to watch the match and support our team.

The Assistant High Commissioner attended the Eid congregation at Shahjalal Mosque and Islamic Centre at Rusholme, Manchester. He also exchanged Eid greetings and interacted with the Mosque committee, volunteers and attendees.

The Assistant High Commissioner attended the Inauguration Ceremony of newly formed community organization titled ‘Bangladesh Development Society UK’ as Chief Guest. He wished the journey of the organisation a success and hoped that it would be able to make a meaningful contribution towards building bridges between the UK and Bangladesh through positive community engagement.

The Assistant High Commissioner attended the BBCCI North West Region Annual Business Dinner as Chief Guest. The event was attended by the officials and members of BBCCI from all across the UK, among others. In his speech the AHC urged the BBCCI members to work for promoting Bangladesh as a lucrative destination for trade and investment in the UK and also act as catalysts in bridging the business of the UK and Bangladesh.
