Possible blue-green algae has been detected in the lake at Arnot Hill Park. This type of algae can produce toxins that harm animals and people, therefore visitors are advised to avoid any contact with the water for themselves, children and pets.

You can find out more about the possible harms at the Government's website (link in comments). The Environment Agency have been made aware.

Arnold Summer Fair is taking place here this Saturday (21/6)! Come along for a free day of live music and performances, creative workshops, stalls, skate jams and street food! On-site and on-street parking will be very limited, so we strongly advise parking in one of the town’s car parks and walking to the park, or make it even easier for yourself and hop on a bus!

These buses stop nearby:
NCTX 25
NCTX 53
NCTX 58
Calverton Connection

It’s going to be a hot one, so make sure to wear a hat and suncream and stay hydrated (there’s a drinking water station near the café).

The lower car park will be closed all day on Tuesday 25 February for maintenance and re-structuring of the layout to allow for Police vehicles parking spaces to be installed following their move to the civic centre. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

There is very limited parking available on the main Nottingham Road but please note that parking in other zones around the park requires specific permits and you may get a parking ticket if you attempt to park there.

Public transport does drop off outside the entrance to the park, including the 58, 25 and Calverton Connection bus.
