Free community 5km every Saturday at 9am around Finsbury Park. Run, jog, walk or volunteer! Register at http://register.parkrun.com

Finsbury parkrun is a free timed 5km event taking place every week at 9am on Saturday morning. The run is open to anybody whether running for fun or for a personal best, parkrun will give you the opportunity to run on a regular basis in one of north London's nicest parks.

30/10/2026

For anyone coming to parkrun tomorrow - the toilets will be closed due to a water leak cutting off the water supply to the park. The cafe will either be closed or running a reduced service. We are currently still planning to go ahead but please check the website for confirmation before you travel.

🎄As usual Finsbury parkrun will be going ahead on Christmas Day this year🎄
We won’t be holding an event on New Year’s Day, though other local parkruns may be. Please check the website for more details.
As always, to go ahead we need volunteers. As Christmas Day is on a Friday this year we’ll be holding back to back events on the 25th and 26th. Please volunteer to ensure we can go ahead! Email us at [email protected] to do so.

Huge thanks to our Duke of Edinburgh Volunteer Coordinator Chris for all the work he does with our young volunteers - read his blog on the parkrun website to find out more.

And huge thanks to the volunteers themselves - we couldn’t sustain the event without them 🧡

At Finsbury parkrun, DoFE volunteers aren’t just volunteering – they’re leading, learning, and shaping the event in ways no one quite expected.

From battling stormy weather to running their own pre-event setups, these young volunteers are proving that parkrun is all about growing confidence, teamwork, and community spirit.

We’re back from festival season and currently aiming to go ahead this Saturday, counting on the Krankbrothers festival set up having been taken down as expected by Friday evening.

We also have a slight course change that will involve a few more bollards - please be cautious of fellow parkrunners and park users, especially on the overtake. We recommend you don’t run with a double buggy this week. The course may be slighter longer than usual.

Looking forward to seeing you all again, if you’d like to volunteer please email in at [email protected]
