Last night's Bats Alive!! evening was a great success. Daubentons and Pipistrelles were seen and heard hunting over the river in good numbers. The icing or bat on the cake was a Barbastelle which whizzed past the ear of Graham Hart our expert bat man from Essex Bat Group. This is a rare bat associated with water Meadows and a fondness for micro moths.

Join expert Graham Hart and Sarah Leedham for a relaxed walk at the reserve using bat detectors to hear their echo location calls. Last year we had Pipistrelles, Daubentons, Noctule and Brown Long Eared. Book your place now on Eventbrite. Around 10 places left.
