The National Youth Authority (NYA) commemorated Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 with an educational outreach programme at the Kaneshie Kingsway 1 & 2 Cluster of Schools under the theme, “Together for a Period Friendly Ghana.”
The outreach focused on adolescence and puberty, menstrual hygiene management, personal hygiene, and responsible decision-making among adolescents. Through interactive sessions, students were equipped with practical knowledge to support their health, confidence, and overall development.

NYA, in collaboration with GIZ, hosted a two-day consultation with youth and multi-stakeholder representatives from 30th April to 1st May 2026 at Alliance Hotel by Eagles in Takoradi.
The consultation aimed to gather valuable insights and recommendations to inform the development of the National Action Plan on Youth, Peace and Security.

The National Youth Authority’s Eastern Regional Secretariat, in partnership with UNFPA, organised a one-day workshop for 200 newly elected Youth Parliamentarians from five districts in the region.
The workshop aimed to strengthen youth participation in governance and decision-making, while empowering young people to contribute meaningfully to national development.
