Not every container travels directly to its final destination. Many shipments start on smaller vessels and transfer mid-route to larger ones — known as Feeder and Mother Vessels.

🔹 CY (Container Yard)
✔️ Ideal for Full Container Load (FCL) shipments
✔️ Containers are delivered, sealed, and moved as a single unit
✔️ Direct yard-to-yard movement

🔸 CFS (Container Freight Station)
✔️ Suitable for Less than Container Load (LCL) / shared shipments
✔️ Cargo is consolidated and deconsolidated at the station
✔️ Best for smaller shipment volumes
