‘We don’t want it’ Growing unease over the controversial third-country nationals (TCN) agreement between Jamaica and the United States (US) has triggered pushback from trade union leaders, amid fears that the island could become a holding ground for undocumented migrants.

Clarendon Police conducted a targeted operation in the communities of Howells Content and York Town in the parish.

During the search of a premises, officers recovered a black C9 9mm pistol with its serial number obscured. The firearm was found loaded with six (6) 9mm rounds and concealed at the rear of the property.

Further searches conducted in the surrounding area led to the discovery of g***a, two Browning pistol magazines, seven (7) .38 rounds concealed in a bag of cornmeal, one 12-gauge cartridge, one 7.62mm round and a black Blu cellular phone.

Several men were taken into police custody in connection with the seizure.
