L-Awtorità tħares ’il quddiem biex tkompli bil-ħidma tagħha b’appoġġ għall-ekonomija u s-soċjetà diġitali ta’ Malta għall-ġid ta’ kulħadd.

Allen qed jiċċelebra sentejn jaħdem mal-Awtorità ta' Malta dwar il-Komunikazzjoni (MCA). Bħala parti mill-funzjoni tal-Immaniġġjar tal-Informazzjoni u l-Iżvilupp fl-MCA, ir-rwol tiegħu huwa dinamiku u varjat. Ix-xogħol tiegħu jvarja minn sistemi tal-IT għal li jiżgura li s-siti elettroniċi tas-settur pubbliku jilħqu l-istandards tad-Direttiva tal-UE dwar l-Aċċessibbiltà tal-Web, biex is-servizzi diġitali jkunu aċċessibbli għal kulħadd.

Allen is celebrating 2 years with the Malta Communications Authority (MCA). As part of the Information Management and Development Unit at the MCA, Allen’s role is fast paced and varied. His work ranges from IT systems to helping ensure public sector websites meet EU Web Accessibility Directive standards, making digital services inclusive for all citizens.

L-MCA tat id-dritt tal-użu ta’ frekwenzi tar-radju biex tippermetti t-tnedija ta’ 3G networks għall-mobiles f'Malta – pass importanti ’l quddiem fil-komunikazzjoni permezz tal-mobile, li appoġġja servizzi tad-data aktar mgħaġġla u konnettività aħjar.
📱 Billi ffaċilitajna l-introduzzjoni tat-teknoloġija 3G, wittejna t-triq għal aċċess aħjar għall-internet u ppermettejna servizzi ġodda u esperjenza aħjar għall-utenti. Dan il-pass kien il-bidu ta' era ġdida fil-konnettività tal-mobile, li ffurmat l-evoluzzjoni lejn in-networks mgħaġġla tal-lum.

The MCA enabled the rollout of 3G mobile networks in Malta – a major step forward in mobile communications, supporting faster data services and enhanced connectivity.

The Malta Communications Authority (MCA) has been alerted to a series of scam calls targeting the public. ⚠️
Scammers are spoofing (falsifying) local mobile numbers 📱 to impersonate representatives of telecom providers, and presenting fake offers, discounts or opportunities to the called party.
🛑 Be cautious: never share personal or sensitive information – such as bank account details 💳, usernames 👤 or passwords 🔑 – whilst in a call, as the scammers’ real intention is to obtain such information to scam you and commit fraud!
📵 When in doubt, hang up and call your provider on their official customer care number.

📊 Skont ir-Rapport dwar il-Kwalità tal-Esperjenza ppubblikat mill-Awtorità ta’ Malta dwar il-Komunikazzjoni (MCA), it-telefown jibqa’ l-aktar mezz preferut mill-klijenti biex jagħmlu kuntatt mal-customer care tal-operatur tagħhom.
F’dan l-istħarriġ, 49% tar-rispondenti għażlu t-telefown bħala l-għażla primarja tagħhom. Din ix-xejra tikkonferma dak li diġà deher fi stħarriġ preċedenti, fejn il-preferenza għat-telefown kienet ta’ 71% fl-2019 u 58% fl-2022.

📊 According to the Quality of Experience Report published by the Malta Communications Authority (MCA), the telephone remains the most preferred way for customers to get in touch with their operator’s customer care.
In this survey, 49% of respondents chose the telephone as their primary option. This trend confirms what had already been observed in previous surveys, where preference for the telephone was 71% in 2019 and 58% in 2022.
These findings highlight the importance of ensuring that telephone customer care services are effective and easily accessible.
