Year 3.1 Ms Nathalie Debono: Collecting Surveys
During the Maths lesson, we discussed the topic of gathering information. The students were introduced to tally marks. Then, the students carried out a survey activity around the school. The children visited all year groups, as well as educators, to ask questions related to the given task and record their answers. Some of the survey questions were linked to the Let’s Talk Farming programme. Once we returned to class, we analysed the data collected together. We discussed how many participants took part in the survey and identified the least and most popular choices according to each category.

Year 3.1 Ms Nathalie Debono: Potato planting 🥔
As part of our Science lessons, we planted potatoes in the school yard. It was a wonderful hands-on experience for the students, who enjoyed planting the potatoes themselves in the soil. They had a great time watching them grow and caring for them by watering them regularly.
After almost four months, on the 26th of May, it was finally time to harvest the potatoes. The students were excited and eager to discover whether the potatoes had grown successfully. They were delighted and proud when they saw the final results. The following day, we prepared roasted potatoes for the students to enjoy together.

Year 3.1 Ms Nathalie Debono: Plants & Trees 🪴 🌴
During the Science lesson, the students explored the topic of plants and trees.
The students took part in a hands-on planting activity. Each student planted parsley, chives and basil seeds in recycled yogurt tubs so that the herbs could later be enjoyed with their families. The students showed great care and responsibility by regularly watering and looking after their seeds as they began to grow. Once the herbs had grown, the plants were given to their families, helping to strengthen the connection between the school and the wider community.

Year 5.1 and year 5.2 Maths Trail in Birgu 🧮
Nurture Class: eTwinnng Project - ‘Feel it Forward’
Matul din is-sena skolastika l-istudenti tan-Nurture Class ħadu sehem fi proġett tal-eTwinnng ‘Feel it Forward’ b’kollaborazzjoni ma’ studenti oħra mill-Polonja, Greċja u Spanja. Matul dan il-vjaġġ edukattiv, l-istudenti minn klassijiet differenti għarfu l-importanza li nużaw l-internet b’mod għaqli filwaqt li esploraw emozzjonijiet differenti wara li nqara l-ktieb ‘The Grand Hotel of Feelings’ ta’ Lidia Brancović. Tgħallmu wkoll kif jikkontrollaw dawk l-emozzjonijiet b’saħħithom u għamlu użu minn strateġiji differenti li jgħinuhom jikkalmaw sabiex jevitaw konsegwenzi mhux mixtieqa. Matul il-proġett l-istudenti għamlu użu ta’ għodod diġitali differenti sabiex ħadu sehem f’diversi attivitaijiet. Huma ltaqgħu onlajn mal-kollaboraturi tagħhom diversi drabi, introduċew lil xulxin, tkellmu bejniethom u ħadu gost flimkien.
During this scholastic year, the students of the Nurture Class took part in the eTwinning project “Feel it Forward” in collaboration with other students from Poland, Greece, and Spain. Throughout this educational journey, students from different classes understood the importance of using the internet wisely while exploring different emotions after reading the book The Grand Hotel of Feelings by Lidia Branković.
They also learned how to manage these strong emotions and used different strategies to help them calm down to avoid unwanted consequences. During the project, the students made use of various digital tools to participate in several activities. They met online with their collaborators on several occasions, introduced themselves to one another, engaged in conversations and enjoyed spending time together.

Year 2.2 Ms Cristina Gatt: Outing at Beanos 🍕

Year 3.1 and Year 3.2 - On Tuesday 21st April 2026, the Year 3 students enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Simar Nature Reserve. During the visit, they filled in the Social Studies fieldwork booklet, while the teacher explained more about nature and birds. The students walked along a natural 1 km footpath, where they observed different trees, shrubs, and insects in their natural habitat. The children had great fun while learning more about the environment and the importance of caring for nature.
