SWAKOPMUND ORDINARY COUNCIL MEETING- 02 JUNE 2026
Dear Residents,
The Municipality of Swakopmund cordially invites members of the public to attend the Ordinary Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, 02 June 2026.
Council meetings provide residents with an opportunity to stay informed about matters affecting the town, as well as the initiatives, projects, and developments being undertaken to serve the community.
The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Head Office and will commence at 19:00.
Your attendance is encouraged and appreciated as we continue working together towards the growth and development of Swakopmund.

REVISED GENERAL VALUATION ROLL 2025
The Municipality of Swakopmund hereby informs all residents and property owners that the Revised General Valuation Roll 2025 is now available for public inspection.
This revised valuation roll follows objections received from property owners regarding assigned property values and has been prepared in accordance with Section 69 of the Local Authorities Act, Act No. 23 of 1992, as amended.
The valuation roll may be inspected during office hours at the Municipal Office Building, Finance Department (Office EO-25A), from Monday, 01 June 2026.
Residents wishing to object to any valuation reflected in the roll are reminded that objections must be submitted in writing on or before Friday, 19 June 2026.
A Valuation Court Hearing will be held on Monday and Tuesday, 29 & 30 June 2026 at 09:00 in the Council Chamber at the Municipal Office Building.
The Municipality encourages all affected residents and property owners to inspect the valuation roll and participate in the process within the prescribed timeframes.

INTERIM VALUATION OF RATEABLE PROPERTIES 2026
The Municipality of Swakopmund hereby informs all residents and property owners that the Interim Valuation Roll 2026 is now open for public inspection.
Residents are encouraged to review the valuation details of their properties during official office hours at the Municipal Office Building, Finance Department (Office EO-25A).
Objections to valuations must be submitted in writing on or before Friday, 05 June 2026.
A Valuation Court Hearing will take place on Monday, 22 June 2026 at 14:00 at the Magistrate Court.
We encourage all affected residents and property owners to make use of this opportunity to inspect the valuation roll and lodge any objections within the prescribed timeframe.

ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE

Please take note that a section of the B2 coming into Swakopmund between the first and second traffic circles will be closed from 09:00AM
until 12:00 on Saturday 30 May for the Flamingo Rally Drags.
A detour road (Edison Street) will be available.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
