Earlier today, 14th May, 2026,
the Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed, chaired the Monthly Management Meeting at the Ministry’s Main Conference Hall.
The meeting was attended by the Permanent Secretary, Habib A. Lawal; the Ag Accountant General and DTO, Gambo Musa Ilallah; as well as Directors and senior management staff of the Ministry. It provided an opportunity to review ongoing activities, assess departmental performance, and align priorities for improved financial management and effective service delivery.
In his remarks, the Honourable Commissioner appreciated the continued dedication and commitment of the management team and urged all Departments and Units to sustain the momentum. He emphasized the importance of teamwork, accountability, and continuous capacity building, while encouraging Heads of Departments.

Earlier today, at the Ministry of Finance’s Main Conference Hall, the Hon. Commissioner of Finance, Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed convened a strategic update meeting with MDAs benefiting from NGF/LoGRI support engagements to review progress achieved, assess the impact and utilization of the technical support provided, and deliberate on key next steps towards strengthening public financial management and institutional reforms.
The engagement reflects Government’s continued commitment to accountability, inter-agency collaboration, institutional efficiency, and improved service delivery across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.

Earlier today at the Ministry of Finance Main Conference Hall, key stakeholders convened for a strategic session on revenue optimization and enhancement, the meeting was chaired by the Hon. Commissioner of Finance, Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed.
In attendance were Heads of MDAs, including the Hon. Commissioner PBC, the Executive Chairman KADIRS, the Director General KASUPDA, the Managing Director KMDC, the Director General KSSQAA, the Permanent Secretary M*F, the Ag. Accountant General, the CEO/Corp Marshal KASTLEA, alongside other senior government officials.
The meeting centered on actionable strategies to boost revenue performance, block leakages, and improve efficiency across MDAs, with a shared commitment to strengthening the State’s financial capacity and delivering sustainable economic impact.

The Financial Inclusion and Literacy Committee engaged with the Gates Foundation on the implementation of its roadmap and strategic framework aimed at deepening financial access and strengthening economic participation across the state.
The meeting was chaired by the Honourable Commissioner of Finance and Chairman of the Committee, Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed, who highlighted the importance of collaboration and practical, results-driven solutions in achieving sustainable impact.
This engagement underscores the strong commitment and purposeful leadership of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, who continues to champion inclusive growth, financial empowerment, and improved livelihoods for all citizens.

The Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed, was presented with an Award of Excellence by the Association of Resident Doctors, Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, Kaduna.
The recognition highlights his outstanding support and commitment to the health sector, as well as his contributions toward strengthening healthcare delivery in Kaduna State.

Day 1 of the 2025 Promotion Interview exercise for Accounting and Procurement Officers of Kaduna State held today at the Ministry of Finance Main Conference Room.
The exercise brought together the Personnel Management Board of the Ministry of Finance, the Office of the Head of Service, and the Civil Service Commission, working jointly to ensure a fair and thorough assessment process. A strong and organised start to this year’s promotion cycle.

Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) Meeting held at the Ministry of Finance, Main Conference Hall.
The Ministry of Finance has undertaken deliberate measures to strengthen Internally Generated Revenue by conducting a strategic review of revenue performance for the 2025 fiscal year, as well as the challenges encountered in revenue generation and administration.
The high-level engagement convened revenue-generating Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to examine revenue leakages, institutional and operational bottlenecks, and enforcement gaps, while also identifying practical and sustainable measures to enhance efficiency, accountability, and compliance across MDAs.
Through the implementation of targeted reforms, the deployment of coordinated task forces, and the strengthening of revenue administration systems, the Administration of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, GCFR, reaffirms its commitment to expanding the State’s revenue base, addressing fiscal gaps, and ensuring sustainable financing for priority development programmes as Kaduna State prepares for the 2026 fiscal year.
