WORK SUSPENSION:

All first- and second-level courts of Mandaue City, Cebu suspend work starting 12:00 P.M. on May 6, 2026 until May 8, 2026, in view of the city's hosting of the 48th ASEAN Summit and related meetings.

The courts shall have sufficient staff members to act on urgent requests for bail, orders of release, writs of habeas corpus, and similar urgent reliefs.

📢 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂

READ: In line with Supreme Court of the Philippines OCA Circular 62-2026, and to allow government employees to properly observe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, MTCC Cebu City will implement a special work arrangement on Wednesday, April 1, 2026:

- Work-From-Home: 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN
- Suspension of Work: 12:00 NN onwards

Be advised that the 2nd Vice Executive Judge Court (MTCC 2) and Branch 3 staff will be available on-site in the morning to handle bail proceedings.

All courts will be closed on April 2–3, 2026 for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Regular operations will resume on Monday, April 6, 2026.

Clients and stakeholders are advised to plan their transactions accordingly.

Note: Hearings for our Court on April 1, 2026 will proceed as scheduled. Thank you.

READ: In view of the prevailing weather conditions brought about by Typhoon Basyang, work and court operations in the First- and Second-Level Courts in Cebu City are SUSPENDED on February 6, 2026, pursuant to Memorandum Order No. ORCM-JR07-023-2026.

A sufficient skeleton workforce shall be maintained to act on urgent matters.

WORK SUSPENSIONS: All first- and second-level courts in Cebu City suspend work on January 16, 2026 starting at 2:00 PM in view of the anticipated traffic congestion due to the Sinulog Festival activities.

The courts shall have sufficient staff members to act on urgent requests for bail, orders of release, writs of habeas corpus, and similar urgent reliefs.

ANNOUNCEMENT

On January 19, 2024, Friday, work is only until 12:00 NN to enable court personnel to avoid heavy traffic congestion and difficulty in securing transportation to and from the Hall of Justice.
