LONG-OUTSTANDING WARRANTS LEAD TO ARREST OF TWO NCR REGIONAL MOST WANTED
Two fugitives wanted for robbery and r**e were arrested in separate police operations in Metro Manila, ending years of evading arrest and underscoring the Philippine National Police's continuing efforts to locate individuals with standing warrants of arrest.
Under the leadership of Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), the operations resulted in the apprehension of two individuals listed among the Regional Top 10 Most Wanted Persons of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO). Both arrests were carried out on November 1, 2026.
In Pasay City, a 35-year-old man ranked No. 10 Regional Most Wanted Person was arrested at his residence in Barangay 123 by operatives of the San Juan City Police Station's Warrant and Subpoena Section under the Eastern Police District.
He was wanted under two separate warrants issued by courts in Pasig and San Juan City in November 2021, both for Robbery in Band, with recommended bails of ₱100,000.00 and ₱3,000.00, respectively.
In a separate operation in Valenzuela City, police arrested a 43-year-old construction worker listed as the No. 6 Regional Most Wanted Person of NCRPO. He was also ranked No. 4 at both the Northern Police District and Valenzuela City Police Station levels.
The arrest was carried out near a medical facility along General Luna Avenue by the Valenzuela City Police Station's Warrant and Subpoena Section, together with the Regional Intelligence Unit NCR and the Southern District Intelligence Team.
The suspect was wanted under a warrant issued on December 16, 2021, by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 270, Valenzuela City, for r**e under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal Code, with no bail recommended.
Both individuals were brought to the respective police stations for documentation and proper custodial procedures, in accordance with established protocols, pending the appropriate court proceedings.
Chief PNP Nartatez said these arrests demonstrate that police operations to serve outstanding warrants remain an important part of the PNP's commitment to public safety, even as personnel attend to other security responsibilities.
“Kahit gaano pa katagal magtago, hindi ibig sabihin ay tuluyan nang makakaiwas sa batas. The passage of time does not erase an outstanding warrant or stop the police from doing their duty. We will continue to pursue every lawful lead and serve court orders, because accountability should never depend on how long a person manages to stay out of sight,” PGEN Nartatez said.
The operations reflect the PNP's Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which calls for coordinated, intelligence-driven and accountable police action. They also support President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s continuing call for a safer environment where the rule of law is upheld and communities can live with greater peace of mind.
Through sustained efforts to locate wanted individuals and ensure the proper implementation of court-issued warrants, the PNP remains committed to delivering Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.
