𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 1st Batch of UMDC Psychology Interns Exit Program 🔱

The 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐌𝐎) celebrates the completion of the 100-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) of the seven psychology student-interns from UM Digos College in their industrial/organizational setting.

From the first time they set foot in the office to the final hours of their OJT, the interns had the opportunity to learn and experience what it means to work in the government. The interns understood the "why" behind the various CHRMO functions and duties before they were exposed to the actual workplace materials. Beyond their responsibilities, they have also gained reflection and built connections.

As they conclude this chapter of their internship, the CHRMO hopes that the experiences they gained here will stay with them as they take their next steps toward becoming future psychology professionals. 🌱

To our first batch of UMDC Psychology interns, thank you for being part of the CHRMO family. May you carry the lessons that you have learned and find fulfillment in whatever path you choose.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | CHRMO Conducts an RSP Orientation, Written Examination, and PSB Interview 🖋️

On October 15, 2026, the 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐌𝐎) conducted an orientation on the Recruitment, Selection, and Placement (RSP) process to show applicants the different stages of government recruitment. This allowed applicants to have an overview of the entire RSP process, from the posting of vacant positions to appointing and onboarding successful applicants.

The current vacant plantilla positions include the Administrative Aide IV (Clerk II) for the City Tourism Office, Social Welfare Development Officer I and II, and Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer I. Following the orientation, applicants took a written examination as part of the assessment process. 🔍

In the afternoon, they proceeded to the interview conducted by the Personnel Selection Board (PSB) members, during which applicants were evaluated on their qualifications, experience, and skills relevant to the position they applied for.

The City Government of Digos values the important role that skilled and dedicated public servants play in building an efficient local government. By keeping the recruitment process open and transparent, the CHRMO helps the City uphold good governance and gives qualified people the opportunity to contribute to the welfare and development of the City of Digos. 🌐

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | UMDC 1ST BATCH OF PSYCHOLOGY INTERNS 🧠 🔱

On October 06, 2026, the 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐌𝐎), headed by Mr. Rez Kristoffer R. Cabardo, welcomed the first batch of Psychology interns from UM Digos College.

This internship collaboration between the CHRMO and UM Digos College aims to bridge the gap between the academic and professional world by providing opportunities for interns to learn more about the industrial/organizational setting. Through this experience, the interns will be exposed to the workings of the CHRMO, helping them develop skills essential to their future work and better understand how the things they learned at school are applied in professional settings.

Their first day began with an orientation to the organization led by Mr. Cabardo, which introduced the interns to the office's core functions, organizational structure, culture, the tasks they would perform, and their role as interns. This initial activity provided them with an overview of the CHRMO and the expectations they ought to uphold during their internship.

As they begin this new chapter, the CHRMO welcomes the interns and looks forward to guiding and supporting them throughout their internship. 🌱

Ang Digos City ay Rank 4 sa 20 Component Cities sa Mindanao batay sa pinakamababang Poverty Incidence.

Ibig sabihin, ika-4 ang Digos City sa hanay ng 20 component cities na may pinakamababang poverty incidence. Sa madaling salita, ayon sa nasabing datos, mas mababa ang bahagdan ng populasyong nabubuhay sa kahirapan sa Digos City kumpara sa 16 na ibang component cities na kasama sa paghahambing.

Mahalagang linawin na ang ranking na ito ay hindi nangangahulugang wala nang kahirapan sa Digos City. Sa halip, ipinapakita nito ang kalagayan batay sa poverty incidence at nagsisilbing mahalagang sukatan sa pagtingin sa pag-unlad ng lungsod.

Kaya patuloy ang hamon na mapababa pa ang poverty incidence, mapalawak ang trabaho at livelihood opportunities, mapalakas ang local economy, at higit pang mapabuti ang kalidad ng serbisyong publiko upang mas maraming Digoseño ang makinabang sa pag-unlad.

Ang pag-unlad ay mas makabuluhan kapag nararamdaman at napapakinabangan ito ng bawat pamilya sa Digos City.

The City Government of Digos proudly recognized 𝐂𝐒𝐂 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨 𝐒. 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐉𝐫. during the 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 on 7 September 2026, at the Big 8 Hotel, Grand Ballroom as part of the 26th Araw ng Digos cityhood celebration.

Director Rivera was celebrated not only as an awardee but also as the keynote speaker, highlighting his nearly 30 years of dedicated service in the Civil Service Commission. From his early years rising through the ranks to leading key reforms in civil service examinations and special eligibilities, his contributions have left a lasting impact on public service nation nationwide.

The Datu Tampurong Awards is an institutionalized recognition program, established as part of Digos City's journey toward achieving the CSC PRIME HRM Bronze Award in 2024.

This honor underscores Director Rivera's unwavering commitment to integrity, innovation, and excellence in governance -- values that continue to inspire the public sector and the communities he serves.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF DIRECTOR RICHARD ORTIZ

The City Human Resource Management Office – City Government of Digos extends its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones of Director Richard Ortiz.

His life was a testament to dedicated public service, leadership, and compassion. The wisdom he shared, the people he inspired, and the service he rendered will remain a lasting part of the lives he touched.

Though he may no longer be with us, his legacy of service and commitment will continue to inspire others.
