NOW HAPPENING | CKYDC, SKs undergo SKMT
The City of Koronadal Youth Development Council (CKYDC) and appointed SK secretaries/treasurers are currently undergoing the Sangguniang Kabataan Mandatory Training (SKMT), equipping its members with the essential knowledge on governance, leadership, and accountability as mandated by the SK Reform Act of 2015.
The training aims to strengthen the councilโs capacity in formulating youth-centered programs and policies that align with the Philippine Youth Development Plan (PYDP) and the Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP).
The following CKYDC members participated in the training:
1. RJ D. Jamela (Junior Financial Management Society)
2. Jose Felipe E. Bagaforo (GVCCET - Mind and Motion)
3. Renz M. Nobleza (KFCI - Arts Club)
4. Windel F. Samillano (KFCI - The Shepherd)
5. Abdulrauff B. Mangubat (RPCI - College Student Council)
6. Ma. Silvia Natividad (RMMC-MI Criminology Student Council)
7. Mica Plana (RMMC-MI League of AB English Student)
Joining the council members are the following SK treas/sec from the city:
1. Louie Ray Delgado (Zone 1 SK Secretary)
2. Eugene San Lorenzo (Zone 4 SK Treasurer)
Other municipalities are also joining the said training - LGU Tantangan, Norala, Sto. Niรฑo, and Banga.

The City of Koronadal Youth Development Council (CKYDC) is currently holding its 4th Quarter Meeting today, October 7, 2025, at Cheq Seafood Dampa, City of Koronadal. The event also includes the registration of youth organizations under the National Youth Commissionโs Youth Organization Registration Program (NYC-YORP). This aims to recognize and empower more youth organizations across Koronadal by formalizing their participation in youth development initiatives.
This initiative not only strengthens the network of youth-led organizations in the city but also ensures that they gain access to resources, capacity-building programs, and official recognition from the NYC.

The City Youth Development Office of the City of Koronadal is currently conducting the Post Evaluation Meeting for the 2025 Youth Festival held last August 2025 in the City of Koronadal.
Taking place today, October 7, 2025, at Cheqโs Seafood Dampa, this activity brings together the Steering Committee, Organizing Team, and Working Committees to assess the festivalโs implementation, review accomplishments, and identify areas for enhancement.
Through this collective effort, the City Government of Koronadal reaffirms its commitment to creating meaningful, inclusive, and empowering programs for all the youth of Koronadal nurturing their talents, voices, and potential for community development.

Five of our youth entrepreneurs are recipients of the Outstanding Koronadal Youth Entrepreneur Award in recognition of their remarkable passion and determination in the field of entrepreneurship.

The City of Koronadal Sangguniang Kabataan Federation has been recognized as a ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ซ and was officially evaluated during the Regional GEMS for SK Evaluation held at the HR Training Hall, Provincial Capitol, on September 26.
Also participating in the said evaluation were the Municipalities of Tupi and Polomolok. Stay tuned for the official results and regional awarding ceremonies on October 31.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Koronadal has officially approved the Ordinance Establishing the City of Koronadal Sports Development Council of 2025, marking a significant step forward in strengthening local sports programs and empowering grassroots athletes.
This representation is pleased to be one of the Authors of this ordinance, together with Hon. Ma. Ester M. Catorce, with the strong support of the Co-Authors: Hon. Charene Kristelle C. Jumilla-Pama, Hon. John Rey P. Rodriguez, and Hon. Handel Dee R. Cadellino-Cubilo.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to Mr. Arnold C. Pagdato, our City Sports and Youth Development Chief, who is also the resource person, for his invaluable input and contribution to the passage of this ordinance
With the establishment of the City of Koronadal Sports Development Council, we look forward to more opportunities and renewed focus on the development of our athletes here in our city.

Our SK officials, acting as the peer educators, are rolling out health awareness discussions for the selected Grade 7 students of Koronadal National Comprehensive High School, who are actively participating and learning from the activity.
We give thanks to the Department of Health and our peer educators for generously sharing their time, knowledge, and effort in making this activity meaningful and impactful for the students.
