𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗸, 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗼, 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗮 𝗜𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗼𝘀.

Matagumpay na idinaos ang Mass Castration activity sa Barangay Poblacion, Polomolok ngayong Mayo 26, 2026. Sa kabuuan, 40 pets – 10 a*o at 30 na pusa, ang sumailalim sa libreng operasyon. Benepisyaryo nito ang 28 fur-parents na nakilahok sa adbokasiya ng responsible pet ownership at pagkontrol ng populasyon ng mga alagang pusa’t a*o.

Ang aktibidad ay naisakatuparan sa pamumuno ni Provincial Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., lokal na pamahalaan ng Polomolok sa ilalim ni Mayor Bernie D. Palencia at Barangay Poblacion na pinamumunuan ni Kapitan Jesse G. Bontuyan.

Sa pakikipagtulungan ng Office of the Provincial Veterinarian, City Veterinary Office of Tacurong, Office of the Municipal Agriculturist ng Banga, GSC Pet Care Center-Polomolok at Pinetown Veterinary Clinic, matagumpay na nakiisa ang mga volunteer veterinarians sa nasabing aktibidad. Nagbahagi rin ng suporta ang mga pribadong sektor gaya ng Charoen Pokphand Foods-Glamang Farm at Pilmico Foods Corporation.

Kaalinsabay nito, may kabuuang 103 a*o’t pusa ang nabakunahan laban sa rabies. Dahil dito, lubos ang pasasalamat ng OPV-South Cotabato at OMAG-Polomolok sa lahat ng nakiisa at patuloy na sumusuporta upang makamit ang isang Rabies-free na South Cotabato.

𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗢𝗚 𝗡𝗔 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔, 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗕𝗔𝗬 𝗡𝗔 𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗨𝗛𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡

Patuloy na pinapalakas ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng South Cotabato, sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., ang suporta sa mga magsasaka at livestock raisers sa pamamagitan ng maagap na paghahanda laban sa epekto ng El Niño. Sa isinagawang RST in Action Radyo Program, ibinahagi ni Veterinarian IV Kelvin A. Lucena, DVM na bukod sa information and education campaign, naghahanda rin ang pamahalaan ng mga kinakailangang biological support tulad ng electrolytes at multivitamins para sa mga alagang hayop ng mga magsasaka.

Layunin ng hakbang na ito na mapanatiling malusog ang mga alagang hayop at mabawasan ang epekto ng matinding init sa kabuhayan ng mga mamamayan. Sa pamamagitan ng maagap na koordinasyon at tuloy-tuloy na suporta, pinatitibay ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ang serbisyong nakasentro sa pangangailangan ng mga komunidad, lalo na ng sektor ng agrikultura.

Opisyal nang idineklara ang lalawigan ng South Cotabato bilang Avian Influenza Free sa bisa ng Department of Agriculture (DA) Memorandum Circular No. 26, Series of 2026, na nilagdaan noong Mayo 7, 2026. Kasunod ito nang may naitalang ka*o ng Avian Influenza o Bird Flu sa bayan ng Norala noong Oktobre 2025.

Ang deklarasyong ito ay bunga ng matagumpay na pagtugon ng Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPV) ng South Cotabato sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., katuwang ang Office of the Municipal Agriculturist ng iba’t ibang munisipyo ng lalawigan at DA-Regional Office XII, sa pagsasagawa ng containment, depopulation, surveillance at disinfection.

Upang mapanatili ang ating Avian Influenza Free Status, pinapaalahanan ang publiko at poultry raisers na magsagawa ng mahigpit na biosecurity measures, agarang pag-uulat ng anumang hindi pangkaraniwang pagkakasakit o pagkamatay ng mga alagang manok at ibon, at mahigpit na pagsunod sa mga transport protocols.

Empowering the local poultry sector, the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPV), through the Animal Production and Development Center (APDC), successfully conducted an animal dispersal of 50 chicken modules in Sto. Niño last April 28, 2026.

This initiative, under the visionary leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., continues to prioritize sustainable livelihood programs that provide direct support to South Cotabateño farmers.

Governor Tamayo Boosts Local Livelihoods through Poultry Dispersal 🐔🌱

Under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian(OPV) and the Animal Production and Development Center (APDC) successfully conducted poultry dispersal activities on April 14, 2026.

In Brgy. Lemsnolon, T'boli, the Rivera Palay Farmers Association received 50 chicken modules. This initiative aims to provide rice farmers with alternative income streams and improve household food security.

Simultaneously, the program extended its reach to the South Cotabato Rehabilitation and Detention Center (SCRDC), where another 50 chicken modules were dispersed. This effort supports the rehabilitation and self-sufficiency programs for persons deprived of liberty (PDL), providing them with meaningful agricultural skills and resources.

Governor Tamayo remains committed to ensuring that government assistance reaches every sector of society, fostering a more productive and resilient South Cotabato.

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞-𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠-𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗟 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

In observance of Holy Week, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato will implement a Work-from-Home (WFH) arrangement on April 1, 2026.

This applies to all officials and employees, except those assigned to essential services such as health, security, disaster response, and offices with approved exemptions.

All personnel under the WFH arrangement are required to observe regular working hours.

This measure aims to ease travel, conserve resources, and provide time for reflection during the Holy Week.

Matagumpay na idinaos ang Mass Castration activity sa Sto. Niño Municipal Gymnasium ngayong March 26, 2026. Ang programang ito ay bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng Rabies Awareness Month na may temang “Rabies-free na pusa't a*o, kaligtasan ng pamilyang Pilipino.”

Sa kabuuan, 36 pets—27 a*o at 9 na pusa, ang sumailalim sa libreng operasyon.
Benepisyaryo nito ang 22 fur-parents na naglalayong maging responsable sa pagkontrol ng populasyon ng kanilang mga alaga upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng rabies.

Sa pakikipagtulungan ng Office of the Provincial Veterinarian at Office of the Municipal Agriculturist ng Sto. Niño, matagumpay na nakiisa ang mga volunteer veterinarians ng City Veterinary Office of Koronadal at Pet's Kingdom Animal Clinic sa nasabing aktibidad.
Nagbahagi rin ng suporta ang mga pribadong sektor gaya ng Pilmico Foods Corporation, Nutrichunks - Jadsons Marketing Inc., UNAHCO Inc. YumYum Dog Food at Charoen Pokphand Foods-Glamang Farm.
