In line with the observance of KALAG-KALAG 2026, the Jagobiao BDRRMO personnel have placed all units on heightened alert to ensure the safety of families and communities as they honor their departed loved ones.
All personnel from both the Emergency Response Team and the Fire Brigade will be deployed to Eversley Cemetery to provide an immediate response and a visible presence. Fire safety inspections are also being conducted in key areas, while rekorida (public information drives) will be carried out to remind the public of fire prevention measures.
As hundreds of Jagobiaonons and visitors visit Eversley Cemetery this season, the Jagobiao BDRRMO appeals to the public to observe the following reminders:
●Never leave lighted candles unattended.
●Keep flammable materials away from candles and open flames.
●Avoid smoking in crowded areas.
●Know the location of the nearest fire exit and emergency assistance post.
●Keep a close watch on children and elderly family members.
