On October 26–27, 2026, the Local Youth Development Office of Odiongan, headed by Engr. Reden F. Escarilla, together with LYDC Chairperson and SK Federation President Hon. Kyert Gil G. Fabella and Hon. John Eric Fermanejo, participated in the GAD Annual Conference in Tagaytay City alongside representatives from various offices and GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) members of the Local Government Unit of Odiongan.
During the conference, the LYDO presented two program proposals for 2028, focusing on education and Gender and Development (GAD) awareness. Meanwhile, the SK Federation and LYDC presented three program proposals centered on youth development.
We are grateful for the opportunity to represent and advance the interests of the youth sector of Odiongan. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our beloved Municipal Mayor, Hon. Roger Q. Fodra, Jr.; Vice Mayor Hon. Butchoy Arevalo; the members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Odiongan; and the Gender and Development Office, headed by Ms. Maria Charmaine R. Gaa, for their continued support and commitment to youth development and gender-responsive initiatives.
Over the past years, LYDO programs have made a meaningful impact on the Odiongan community through initiatives such as the Educational Incentives Program, Educational Assistance for Out-of-School Youth (OSY), Life Skills Training for LGBT Individuals, and the Gender and Development Conference for Youth Development.
With these proposed programs for 2028, we look forward to strengthening our commitment to inclusive education, GAD awareness, and meaningful youth participation in building a more empowered and progressive community.
