The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region IX Extension Office invites all qualified *micro-cooperatives in Region IX* to apply for the *BPI Foundation Sinag Beyond 2026 Program*, happening on *November 10–13, 2026, in Zamboanga City!*

✅ Opportunity to pitch your business and access potential funding support

🏆 *10 qualified micro-cooperatives* from Region IX will be selected to participate, with *two (2) representatives per cooperative*. The Top 10 micro-cooperatives in the final business pitch competition will each receive *₱100,000* for their respective cooperative!

Interested micro-cooperatives may scan the official application QR code in the attached advisory and review the program details, eligibility criteria, and application requirements.

📌 *IMPORTANT REMINDER ON THE APPLICATION PROCESS*

The *CDA Region IX Extension Office will only facilitate the endorsement* of eligible micro-cooperatives to BPI Foundation. *BPI Foundation is responsible for processing and evaluating the applications, as well as the final selection of participants.* CDA endorsement does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

Endorsements will be facilitated on a first-come, first-served basis among cooperatives that meet the eligibility criteria and submit complete requirements.

GILARAW sa Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region 9 ang pagpalig-on sa capacity building program alang sa tanang kooperatiba sa rehiyon aron mapauswag ang ilang kahibalo, kahanas sa pagdumala sa organisasyon.

Matud ni CDA 9 Regional Director Ruben Cunanan, usa lang kini sa mandato nga gitutukan ug lakip usab niini ang paghatag ug access alang sa mga kooperatiba alang sa financing institution para mapalambo ang panginabuhian

Gisaysay ni RD Cunanan, sila usab ang mag-endorso sa mga financial institution aron mailhan sa mga Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) ang mga programa sa mga partner agencies sa CDA- 9 para sa dugang pagpauswag sa ilang operasyon.

Pinaagi niini mahimong mas mapalig-on ang pagdumala sa mga kooperatiba, lakip na ang pagpauswag sa ilang pinansyal nga kahimtang, operasyon ug paghatag og serbisyo ngadto sa ilang mga miyembro.

Tumong niini nga mas mahimong lig-on, epektibo ug malungtaron ang mga kooperatiba sa rehiyon, nga makatampo usab sa pagpalambo sa panginabuhian ug ekonomiya sa mga komunidad.

CDA Region IX Participates in Leadership Training for Young Cooperative Leaders

The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region IX successfully participated in the Leadership Training: Empowering Cooperative Leaders through Values-Based Leadership and Transformative Communication, held on October 12–13, 2026, in celebration of Cooperative Month 2026.

The two-day training aimed to strengthen leadership capacities, promote values-based leadership, and enhance communication skills among young cooperative leaders. It also highlighted the importance of youth participation in ensuring leadership succession, good governance, and the sustainability of the cooperative movement.

CDA Region IX, under the leadership of Regional Director Ruben L. Cunanan, JD, expresses its sincere appreciation to Zamboanga Del Norte Teachers and Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (ZaNorTe-MPC) for sending Mr. Jon Denver Gumela as its delegate to the training. This participation reflects the continuing commitment of cooperatives to developing capable, responsible, and values-driven leaders who can contribute to the growth and advancement of the cooperative sector.

CDA Region IX recognizes the importance of investing in the youth as partners in building stronger, more inclusive, and sustainable cooperatives. Through initiatives such as this, the Authority remains committed to supporting leadership development and empowering the next generation of cooperative leaders.
