🌿 Happy European Day of Parks!

Did you know that the very first national parks in Europe were established in Sweden? In 1909, Sweden proclaimed its first nine national parks – a milestone so significant that May 24 was chosen to commemorate it as the European Day of Parks, celebrated since 1999.

Today, Sweden proudly has 31 national parks 🏔️🌲Looking for some peace of mind and healthy vacation? Don’t hesitate to visit one of those when in Europe, with endless possibilities to explore oceans, islands, forests, rivers and mountains.

And you can find a little piece of that Europe right here in Manila!

At Rizal Park, there is the EU–Philippines commemorative mural and map, both can be found at the beautiful European/Noli Me Tangere Garden. The garden stands as a beautiful symbol of the enduring historical and cultural connections between Europe and the Philippines, including the remarkable intellectual journey of our national hero, Dr. José Rizal, through Europe.

We are bridging continents through nature, heritage, and friendship. 🌍💛💙

🎨 Happy International Museum Day!

Ambassador Anna Ferry had the pleasure of visiting some of the Philippines' most celebrated cultural spaces that have left her deeply inspired.

At the Pinto Art Museum she had a wonderful conversation with its founder, Dr. Joven Cuanang, and was struck by the museum's unique concept, from its lush garden and restaurant to its extraordinary collection of contemporary Filipino art.

She also explored the Ateneo Art Gallery, including its permanent collection featuring works by the Philippines' National Artists.

“In Sweden you may find places with a very similar vibe, for example Millesgården – artist's home, sculpture park and art gallery
There's this sense of connection between Sweden and the Philippines, that is, how visual artists tell a country's history and social movements," said Ambassador Anna Ferry. “Those creative and inspiring places always like home to me.”

The best part? The Philippines has over 300 museums waiting to be discovered! 🗺️
