IWMB Rescue Team successfully rescued a kite and a myna bird on a citizen’s complaint. During extreme hot weather, many birds suffer from dehydration and exhaustion, and timely rescue efforts help save these precious lives.

We request everyone to place water pots on rooftops, balconies, and open spaces, and arrange some shade for birds to help them stay hydrated and protected from the scorching heat.

An engaging awareness and education session on the importance of plantation and environmental conservation and health on a healing Planet with students of National University of Modern Languages (NUML) was held at Trail 5 with the students of Mass Communication and Psychology from NUML University Islamabad. 🌱

Hikers and visitors also actively participated in the session, highlighting the importance of collective efforts towards protecting nature, preserving biodiversity, and promoting a greener environment.

Illegal Wildlife Trapping and Killing Case

The accused Chinese national apprehended by IWMB for illegal trapping and killing has been sent to jail as per judicial orders.

Next hearing scheduled for 26 May 2026 at the court.

🔹 IWMB team apprehended a Chinese citizen using snare traps to kill wildlife in E-7 forest area.
🔹 Accused handed over to police.
🔹 Legal action underway under Nature Act 2024.
🔹 Case registered at Kohsar Police Station, F-7, Islamabad.
