A productive meeting was held with the Director of the Child Protection Bureau, chaired by Secretary SD&ED Nadir Chattha, alongside senior officers.
The discussion centered on providing children in the Bureau’s custody with technical and vocational training (TVET), enabling them to pursue courses and secure meaningful employment.
This initiative reflects our commitment to empowering vulnerable children with the tools they need to build independent and dignified lives. 💙

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan is actively promoting youth empowerment and skilled workforce export to strengthen economic independence.
With the visionary direction of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab is moving towards becoming an International Skilled Manpower Hub. Concrete steps are being taken to equip youth with global-standard skills and connect them with overseas employment opportunities.
Major initiatives include:
• Parwaz Card Official
• Modern hospitality and construction labs by TEVTA Punjab
• Training of 200,000 youth through PVTC - Punjab Vocational Training Council
• Advanced IT training through Skills Development Fund-PSDF
During the Prime Minister’s visit to Qatar, Chaudhry Adnan Afzal Chattha , Chairperson of the CM Punjab Task Force on Skills Development, was included in the official delegation to engage with international employers and business leaders.
The Punjab SD&ED-Skills Development & Entrepreneurship Department will soon hold Meet & Greet sessions in Qatar to directly link skilled youth with global opportunities.
These efforts will increase remittances, strengthen Pakistan’s economy, and contribute to Qatar’s development. 🇵🇰🇶🇦

A landmark meeting was held under the chairmanship of Secretary SDED Mr. Nadir Chattha to introduce TVET programs for 9th & 10th class students.
This initiative is designed to provide alternative skill-based pathways for students who could not clear their matric exams — ensuring no child is left behind.
The meeting was attended by:
- Mr. Muddassir Riaz Malik (Secretary Schools Education Department)
- Brig Sajid Khokhar (Chairman TEVTA)
- Mr. Munawar Malik (Additional Secretary SDED)
- Mr. Ahmad Khan (CEO PSDF)
- Other senior officers
Together, they are shaping a new vision for inclusive education and skill development in Punjab.

Strengthening Skills for Tomorrow
Under the guidance of Secretary SD&ED, Mr. Nadir Chattha, a meeting was held to discuss providing TVET certifications to Pre-Intermediate students (Classes 9 & 10).
The meeting brought together Chairman TEVTA Brigadier Sajid Khokhar, Additional Secretary SD&ED Mr. Munawar Malik, and senior officers of the department.
This step marks an important move toward empowering youth with vocational skills and creating new opportunities for their future.

Following the initial engagement, PSDF hosted the Ambassador of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates at its office for a follow-up meeting, with SD&ED, to translate shared priorities into actionable pathways.
Pakistan remains one of the significant workforce contributors to the UAE, with up to 1.9 million employed (Khaleej Times). Recognizing a long-standing Pak–UAE partnership, discussion focused on jointly designing structured, demand-led pathways to enable skilled manpower export from Punjab to priority sectors in the UAE.
The meeting emphasized:
- Employer-validated training aligned to UAE sectoral demand
- Structured workforce pipelines to ensure job-readiness
- Institutional collaboration between the Government of Punjab and UAE stakeholders to scale productivity-driven migration
Such discussions play a crucial role in structuring outcome-linked talent partnerships.

The Skills Development & Entrepreneurship Department (SD&ED), Punjab, was privileged to host H.E. Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan.
Representing Pakistan’s side were Additional Secretary Mr. Munawar Malik, PSDF CEO Mr. Ahmad Khan, and senior officers of SD&ED.
The meeting centered on strengthening collaboration with UAE to promote Technical and Vocational Education & Training (TVET Punjab) and to create new opportunities for skills development in Pakistan.

✨ Punjab takes a giant leap in Skills & Entrepreneurship!
On 28 January 2026, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the TVET programs of SD&ED, TEVTA, PSDF, and PVTC, bringing them under the umbrella of the Skills Development & Entrepreneurship Department (SD&ED).
🚀 With initiatives like the SDED Portal (PSIS), Parwaaz Card, Rah‑e‑Rozgaar Program, and Creative Hands Program, Punjab is empowering youth, bridging training with employment, and nurturing innovation.
📊 Since Feb 2024, TEVTA & PVTC have enrolled 322,575 students, with 155,000 placed locally and 23,775 internationally — a testament to Punjab’s commitment to workforce development.
