On 12 May 2026, residents from SNM Nursing Home@Riverwalk participated in a Clay Food Miniature Workshop using their SG Culture Pass credits. The session was facilitated by the patient and supportive instructors from Hands on Klay, who guided residents through basic hand-building techniques such as shaping, rolling, pinching, and moulding clay.

Residents learned to create intricate miniature food items by forming detailed components and assembling them creatively. The workshop encouraged self-expression, with participants personalising their creations through different colours, designs, and styles, while taking pride and joy in their finished pieces.

The activity provided residents with an opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence, and express their creativity in a supportive environment, while also contributing positively to their overall wellbeing. ❤

On 21 May 2026, our senior clients from SNM SCC (Yishun), SNM SCC (Woodlands), and SNM CareLight SCC enjoyed a fun-filled day at Assumption Pathway School’s Carnival.

They were warmly welcomed by the students, who invited them to explore the many carnival booths and activities. Our clients had an enjoyable time trying out tabletop games and taking part in craft activities such as making cotton candy, flower bouquets, beaded bracelets, and painted pots.

There were also exciting games like Ring Toss and target shooting, where some of our clients even won prizes. The students also put up lively performances, including zumba and karaoke sessions, and encouraged everyone to join in the fun.

Before heading home, our clients received thoughtful goodie bags from the students, ending the day on a happy note.

We would like to thank Assumption Pathway School for the warm invitation and for creating such a meaningful and enjoyable experience for our senior clients. ❤

SNM AAC (Care) has introduced a new Brisk Walk activity for seniors, held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at 8.45am.

The walks are a great way for seniors to stay active, catch up with friends, and explore interesting spots around the neighbourhood. Along the way, they can enjoy conversations, take selfies, and snap fun group photos together.

Seniors are encouraged to bring water bottles and umbrellas, and to wear caps, comfortable covered shoes, and light sun-protective clothing for a more comfortable outdoor walk.

Our first brisk walk was well received, with many of our seniors enjoying the opportunity to walk together and visit places such as shopping malls, nature trails, temples, and community centres. Our seniors, Mr Chua and Mr Yim, together with our staff member Ms Phin, ensured that the safest and smoothest routes were planned for their fellow seniors. Following the success of the programme, our seniors are already looking forward to the next one! ❤

If you would like to learn more about our Brisk Walks or any programmes offered by SNM AAC (Care), feel free to reach out to us at 9091 2836 or email us at [email protected].

On 2 May 2026, seniors from SNM AAC@Race Course attended "Anumarga – Seeking a Path" at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, a dance production presented as part of the SIFAS Festival of Arts 2026.

The production beautifully blended dance, music, and storytelling, keeping our seniors engaged throughout. Many especially enjoyed the familiar mythological tales from the Hindu epic, Mahabharata, which brought back fond memories and sparked meaningful conversations.

The outing also provided a wonderful opportunity for the seniors to relax, bond, and appreciate the arts together in a lively atmosphere. They were delighted by the experience and cherished the chance to reconnect with cultural and spiritual themes.

We would also like to thank the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS) for generously sponsoring the tickets and making this meaningful outing possible for our seniors. ❤
