ISCA Toastmasters was formerly known as CPA Toastmasters’ Club. Since its inception, some 200 people have gone through the process as Toastmasters.

The CPA Toastmasters’ Club was chartered in September 1987 as one of the activities of the Institute’s Social Committees by then-ICPAS President Mr Keith Tay and three founding members. At its peak, the club had a record of 84 members. The club was renamed to ISCA Toastmasters after ICPAS rebranded to Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) on 2 July 2013. 📊 Leadership by the Numbers — A Thought-Provoking ISCA Toastmasters Meeting 💬

Just wrapped up another enriching session at ISCA Toastmasters, and today’s theme really struck a chord: Leadership by the Numbers. It reminded me how great leadership isn’t just about charisma or vision — it’s also about consistency, accountability, and the measurable impact we create.

Every number tells a story:
✔️ The number of times we step up when no one else will.
✔️ The feedback scores that push us to improve.
✔️ The number of people we’ve mentored, encouraged, or inspired.
✔️ And yes, sometimes even the number of times we fail, learn, and try again.

Last Tuesday, 22 July 2025, we explored more than just financial ledgers—we took a deep dive into what it really means to balance the books of life.
