Subject: Firm Response to False Claims and Misleading Justifications

The leadership of the South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A) issues this firm statement in response to recent claims circulated by Atong Hassan, in which she alleges that her accusations were based on “reliable sources” and internal verification.
We categorically reject this justification.

Following direct communication between Ms. Atong Hassan and Gen. Paul Malong Awan, the Chairman and Commander-in-Chief, it has been clearly confirmed that no such allegations, discussions, or incidents have ever existed.
Furthermore, the Chairman explicitly requested that the individual who allegedly provided such information be identified and presented in Nairobi for verification. The refusal to disclose or present this so-called source is a clear indication that these claims are fabricated and lack any credibility.

This behavior demonstrates a deliberate attempt to spread falsehoods under the pretense of verification. It is misleading, irresponsible, and constitutes a serious breach of ethical standards in public communication.

Accordingly, the leadership informs all members and the general public that the individual concerned appears to be acting with ulterior motives, including personal gain through the dissemination of sensational and misleading content across media platforms. Such conduct undermines trust and damages the integrity of public discourse.

We therefore call upon all members, supporters, and concerned citizens of South Sudan who genuinely respect and support the leadership of Gen. Paul Malong Awan to demand clear evidence and accountability regarding these baseless allegations. Claims of such gravity must be supported by verifiable facts, not vague references to unnamed sources.

Failure to provide credible evidence and to retract these statements will leave the leadership with no option but to pursue appropriate measures through official channels, including relevant offices abroad.
SSUF/A remains committed to truth, institutional integrity, and responsible engagement with the public.

Statement of Condemnation Regarding False Allegations Circulated in a Video by Atong Hassan.

The leadership of the South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A) expresses its strong condemnation and deep concern regarding the false and misleading statements circulated in a video attributed to activist Atong Hassan.

The claims made in the video, alleging that the Secretary General of the movement, Mr. Tut Chol, in addition to Advisor Abraham Chol Moses and Mr. Anei Tong, Head of Security Protection in the Office of the Chairman, conspired with certain individuals within the government to hand over Gen. Paul Malong Awan for the purpose of assassination at the borders of South Sudan, are completely baseless, unfounded, and without any factual or credible evidence.

We categorically reject these allegations in the strongest terms. At no time, whether in the past or present, has there been any such conspiracy or action as falsely portrayed. These claims are malicious, irresponsible, and intended to create confusion, mistrust, and unnecessary tension among members and the public.

Furthermore, the leadership notes with concern that the matter appears to be linked to internal score-settling and unhealthy rivalries within certain circles, where misleading and false information has been deliberately provided to the said individual. Such actions reflect negatively on institutional values and undermine unity and discipline within the movement.

The leadership of SSUF/A assures all members, supporters, and the general public that such narratives do not reflect reality and should be treated as misinformation. We reaffirm our commitment to unity, discipline, and the protection of the integrity of our leadership and institution.

We consider the dissemination of such false accusations as a hostile act against the movement and its leadership. Accordingly, we call upon the individual concerned to issue an immediate public apology through an official video statement, retracting the claims and clarifying the misinformation presented.

SSUF/A remains committed to responsible communication, truth, and the preservation of institutional credibility.

8th Anniversary Message

On the occasion of the 8th Anniversary of the founding of the South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A), we extend our sincere greetings to all members of the movement and our valued supporters.

This anniversary is a moment to reaffirm our shared commitment and collective responsibility toward the cause we stand for. We pay tribute to the honorable members of the movement who continue to uphold the principles of sacrifice, resilience, and dedication.

Our cause is not one that can be bought by money, but one that is sustained through perseverance and unwavering commitment to the objectives and constitution of SSUF/A—toward building a nation that accommodates all tribes and serves every citizen with dignity.

We strongly condemn any attacks against innocent civilians by any party. Such acts undermine peace, stability, and the values we collectively seek to promote.

The leadership reaffirms its continued commitment to national issues through the guiding principles and constitutional framework of the South Sudan United Front/Army. We call upon the people of South Sudan to remain patient and steadfast during this challenging period.

Addressing the challenges facing our communities requires unity, understanding, and mutual respect. The path forward lies in accepting one another as one united people, and working together to build a peaceful, inclusive, and stable nation.

Together, we reaffirm that the struggle for justice, reform, and national unity is responsibility that must be carried with sincerity and purpose for the benefit of the common citizen.

Easter Message

Dear Christians of South Sudan and around the world,
On the blessed occasion of Easter, I extend my heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all Christians in South Sudan and across the globe. May this sacred celebration bring you renewed hope, faith, and joy.

As we mark this holy season, we also remember with deep sorrow the families who have lost their loved ones in the recent incidents in Jebel Iraq and Abiemnhom, as well as across South Sudan in general.

We extend our sincere condolences and pray for the healing of all those who were injured, through the grace and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Easter reminds us of the values of sacrifice, forgiveness, and unity. It calls upon us to accept one another as citizens of one nation and to embrace the diversity that God has blessed South Sudan with, including its 64 tribes.

We urge all churches and Christian communities across the country to dedicate prayers for peace, healing, and unity among our people.

Let this Easter be a message of peace to the people of South Sudan—a call to uphold unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among all citizens.

May God bless South Sudan and guide us toward lasting peace and stability.

Gen. Paul Malong Awan
Chairman and Commander-in-Chief
