During the week of October 26–30, 2026, CLEET conducted a Basic Instructor Development Course in Chickasha, Oklahoma, certifying 23 new law enforcement instructors!

The course was led by CLEET Field Representatives Vonnie Houser and Jeremy Engel, who helped prepare these officers to share their knowledge, skills, and experience with the next generation of law enforcement professionals.

A special thank you to the Grady County Sheriff's Office for generously providing its training facility throughout the week!

Congratulations to all 22 graduates on this professional achievement!

This nighttime training replicates real-world pressure within a controlled environment, strengthening confidence, resilience, and performance under stress.

Instructors serve as dedicated safety officers, ensuring cadets are supported as they bridge the gap between technical knowledge and practical application.

Every Kid Has the Power to Be a Superhero!

CLEET Director of Training Bobby Floyd had the opportunity to deliver a Red Ribbon Week message to students at Vinita Public Schools’ lower and upper elementary campuses. His message focused on the superhero within each of us and reminded students that every child has the power to be a hero by making positive choices, staying drug-free, and being a positive influence on others.

Director Floyd appreciates the invitation from Vinita Public Schools and the opportunity to connect with students, encourage healthy choices, and remind them that they each have the power to make a difference.

Red Ribbon Week began in 1985 as a tribute to DEA Special Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, whose legacy continues to inspire communities nationwide to promote drug prevention and healthy, drug-free lives.

Thank you to the Cherokee Nation Marshals for bringing their help, knowledge, and equipment. Thank you to Vinita Public Schools for welcoming CLEET and helping empower the next generation of everyday superheroes!

CLEET’s own Kevin McCullough provided the closing keynote speech for the National League of Cities conference in Oklahoma City on Wednesday. In this closing keynote, Kevin reflected on more than four decades of public service, including his firsthand experience responding to the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. He emphasized the importance of relationships, cooperation, community resilience, and caring for those who serve. Attendees were encouraged to recognize the value of their contributions, strengthen relationships within their organizations and communities, and apply the lessons gained throughout the conference.
