On Memorial Day, remember the service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation's freedom. We honor the Jewish veterans, in particular, and are grateful for their courage and commitment to the values we hold dear. May their memory be a blessing.

We are proud to share that our Director of Development, Aaron Gorodzinsky, joined leaders from Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh on Capitol Hill during the Jewish Federations of North America Fly-In to advocate for the safety and security of Jewish communities across the country.

During the visit, participants met with U.S. Senator John Fetterman to thank him for his unwavering support and commitment to keeping Jewish communities safe.

Thank you, Aaron, for proudly representing and helping ensure the voices of the Lehigh Valley Jewish community are heard. This is how we're .

Today, our Women’s Philanthropy Mitzvah Project came together to care for Mount Sinai Cemetery, the first Jewish cemetery in the Lehigh Valley.

By clearing these historic graves, we honored generations of Jewish life and fulfilled the sacred mitzvah of chesed shel emet, a true act of kindness for those who can no longer repay us. As Miriam Zager shared, “Every stone you uncover, every path you clear, is a statement: these people mattered, and they are not forgotten.”

Thank you to everyone who showed up to preserve this sacred space and honor the proud history of our community.

Jewish Federations of North America mourn the passing of Barney Frank, a trailblazing public servant whose decades of leadership helped shape a more just, inclusive, and equitable America. Deeply grounded in Jewish values and traditions, Congressman Frank brought a profound sense of moral responsibility to public life, guided by the belief that government has an obligation to protect the vulnerable and strengthen the fabric of society.

His legacy of leadership, sharp wit, and unwavering commitment to justice will endure far beyond his years in office. We extend our deepest condolences to his husband, family, friends, former colleagues, and all who were touched by his extraordinary life and career.

2026 marks 40 years of the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley’s Maimonides Society, America’s first Maimonides Society.

We were honored to celebrate this milestone and recognize the extraordinary Jewish doctors, healthcare workers, and medical leaders whose compassion and service have strengthened our community for generations.

Thank you to Dr. Dorit Nitzan for sharing her insight and expertise with our community.

Yesterday, Partnership2Gether Yoav and Lehigh Valley members gathered over Zoom for a special Shavuot cheesecake-making demonstration with Scott Anderson!

It was wonderful to see guests from both the Lehigh Valley and Israel so engaged throughout the event. Programs like these help keep our connection to Israel alive and well through, together celebrating life. L'chaim!

Thank you to Scott Anderson and everyone who joined us 🍰
