Today, on National First Responders Day, and every other day, we thank our Village of Amityville First Responders -- APD, AFD, EMS, OEM -- as well as our Fire Marshal, Building and Code Enforcement team and our Public Works crews for their timely and skilled response to accidents, fires, and public safety emergencies of all kinds. We are fortunate to count on them 24/7!

Broadway/Rte.110 between Louden Ave. and Sprague Ave. is currently closed due to an accident investigation. Please use alternate routes.

Please read and heed this warning about a scam -- it spoofs notices that appear to come from the Town of Babylon. We reported previously about a similar scam involving the Village of Amityville Building Dept.

Babylon joins a growing number of municipalities to report scams impersonating town officials.

The mural at the north side of Oak St. at New China restaurant is unfolding into a detailed view from our Village gazebo with the iconic triangle building as a central element. Muralist and "Art Genie" Bonnie Siracusa is hard at work creating a glimpse for visitors of what lies ahead and celebrating this charming streetscape.
