Lost & Found! 🛟🏝️ This weekend, our duty crew received a report of an overdue vessel with one person aboard who had departed from Meeting Street Boat Ramp in St. Marys, Georgia.
After an extensive search of the surrounding area, and with assistance from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Savannah, the individual was located on Tiger Island! 🐅 From there, our team safely transferred the individual to Georgia Department of Natural Resources - Georgia DNR officials before returning home. 💪
Despite low visibility and high winds, our crew persevered and helped bring this search to a successful conclusion. 🌊🛟 This is what we do: answer the call and bring people home! 🇺🇸
Bravo Zulu to BM2 Newman, MK1 Breau, SN Pudiwitr, MK3 Garcia, and BM3 Correa for their hard work! 👏

Eyes up! ✈️ ✈️ ✈️
This weekend, our reserve crew and the CGC Coho had front-row seats to the Jacksonville Air Show, featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the Air Force Thunderbirds! 🦅 😇 🇺🇸
While the jets put on a show in the sky, our crew was holding down the water! 🌊🚤 Our team enforced a safety zone throughout the performance, helping keep vessel traffic clear of the area so spectators could safely enjoy the show. 🚧🚨
Hope you brought your earplugs! 😎💥

Eyes and ears, the range is going hot! 💥🎯
This week, our crew headed to the Neptune Beach Police Department outdoor range for our scheduled fi****ms qualification days! 💪 Before hitting the range, our personnel review the fundamentals of marksmanship, including stance, sight picture, and trigger control, alongside essential fi****ms safety rules. 🛡️
As a Level 1 Tactical Unit, our Coast Guard law enforcement personnel train and qualify with three weapons systems: the G***k 19 pistol, Re*****on 870 sh***un, and M4 r***e. 🇺🇸 Consistent training helps ensure our crew remains proficient, safe, and ready to answer the call when duty demands it. ⚓
Bravo Zulu to our outstanding range instructors, ME1 Nowak and BM1 Vance, and a huge thank-you to the Neptune Beach Police Department for continuing to welcome our crew to their excellent outdoor range! 🤝👮‍♂️

Just call on us, and we’ll be there! 🦸‍♂️

Our duty section was happy to lend a helping hand to the crew of CGC Hawk by providing a safety boat while they conducted a power trial following an extensive dry-dock availability period. 🚧⚓️

Our Mayport crew also had the opportunity to transfer several personnel to and from the 87’ WPB, helping keep this dynamic operation moving safely and efficiently. 🦅🤝

Bravo Zulu to BM3 Klemenz, FN Lilly, SN Miners, BM1 Rupp, and MK3 Blackston on a job well done! 💪

We’re always happy to support our Coast Guard neighbors when they need an extra hand. One Coast Guard, one team! ⚓️🇺🇸

Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful morning to knock out some check rides! 💪🌅

Our team got a little salty offshore yesterday as we evaluated our prospective break-in boat crew members underway. 🌊 These evolutions put our crews to the test, ensuring qualified boat crewmen can confidently demonstrate a wide range of skills when an emergency occurs 🚨

From towing stricken vessels 🚢 and navigation 🧭 to boat handling ⚓, first aid ⛑️ and damage control 🔥, our crews train hard to stay ready for whatever the mission brings.

Train hard. Stay focused. Be ready. 🛟
