Together, We Can Feed Hope!

This election season, we're coming together to support the Augusta Food Bank and help our neighbors in need! Help your community in two ways this Election Day. Cast your vote AND bring a much-needed food item to donate! Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Let's show what Augusta can do when we come together to support our neighbors! A collection box will be in the lobby at the Augusta Civic Center tomorrow!

Most needed items: Kids' Juice Boxes, Soup, Mayo, Cooking Oil, Canned Corn, Canned Pasta with Protein, and Mac & Cheese Cups.

Your vote matters. Your donation makes a difference.

Happy (early) Halloween!

Reminder: Tomorrow, Saturday, October 31st, is the annual Trick-or-Treat on Water Street. Water Street between Winthrop Street and Commercial Street will be shut down from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM for the event, which starts at 4:30 PM. Calumet Bridge at Old Fort Western will also be closed. Please have any vehicles parked on Water Street within the event area removed before 4:00 PM. Any vehicles remaining after 4:00 PM will be towed at the owner's expense by the Downtown Alliance to ensure event safety.

Safety Tips for Trick-or-Treating in Neighborhoods
1) Have children wear reflective markings or carry a flashlight or glowstick so they can be seen.
2) Keep children on a sidewalk/path and don't let them dash across the street or to the next house. Always WALK TOGETHER.
3) Put cell phones and cameras down, keep your heads up, and walk. Share photos before or after trick-or-treating.
4) Make sure your children's costumes are properly sized to avoid falls and tripping.
5) DRIVERS: Please drive slowly and turn your headlights on earlier in the day. Popular trick-or-treating hours are 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Be especially alert for children during that time.

Have a safe and spooky Halloween!
