🎃🍬 Halloween Fun Brings Our Raiders Together!

On Friday, Benjamin Logan High School welcomed some of our littlest Raiders for a special Spirit Walk filled with costumes, candy, and plenty of smiles!

High school students enjoyed sharing treats and making memories with their younger Raider friends.

Thanks to the generosity of our BLHS families, BPA members, and Elementary PTC, more than 12,000 pieces of candy were donated, breaking last year’s record of 10,000!

A special thank-you to everyone who donated candy and helped make this fun tradition possible. It’s always a treat to see our older and younger Raiders come together! 🖤💛

💛 Another Great Opportunity for Benjamin Logan Middle School!

Congratulations to fifth-grade teacher Stacy Hamlin on receiving a $2,400 grant from the Mary Rutan Foundation to purchase books for a planned book vending machine at Benjamin Logan Middle School!

The goal is to bring a book vending machine to the middle school commons next school year as part of the school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. Students will have the opportunity to earn books as rewards for demonstrating positive behavior and making good choices.

While funding is still being sought to purchase the vending machine, this generous grant will help provide the books needed to get the program started.

Thank you to the Mary Rutan Health for supporting our students and encouraging a love of reading!

🌟 Exploring Careers and Future Possibilities!

Yesterday, Benjamin Logan seventh graders visited Riverside Schools to explore different careers as part of the Logan County Collaborative’s 3E initiative!

Students had the opportunity to meet local professionals, participate in hands-on activities, ask questions, and discover what different jobs are really like.

From healthcare and public safety to skilled trades and more, students learned about career opportunities available right here in Logan County.

It’s never too early to start thinking about the future! Thank you to Riverside Schools, the Logan County Collaborative, and all the local businesses and organizations that helped make this experience possible!

👩‍🍳🍝 Cooking Up Life Skills at Benjamin Logan!

Something smells good at Benjamin Logan! Our students have been busy in the kitchen, making the school smell like an Italian restaurant! 🇮🇹

From homemade spaghetti sauce to macaroni and cheese, students practiced following recipes, measuring ingredients, preparing food, and working together.

These hands-on experiences help students build confidence, independence, and everyday skills they can use beyond the classroom! 🖤💛

📚 Learning Life Skills for the Future!

Growing up comes with plenty of decisions and challenges, and Benjamin Logan High School students are learning ways to navigate them!

Students in Health Teacher Brittony Leonard’s class kicked off a new book study today in the high school library. They are reading Life Strategies for Teens by Jay McGraw, a book that helps young people think about everyday choices, handle challenges, build confidence, and prepare for adulthood.

Through this book study, students will have opportunities to reflect on their own experiences and discover lessons they can use both now and in the future.

❤️ Sometimes the most valuable lessons are the ones students carry with them long after high school!

Honoring Our Veterans: Please Join Us November 11!

Benjamin Logan Local Schools warmly invites local veterans and their guests to its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at Benjamin Logan High School.

8:00 a.m. – Complimentary, student-prepared Veterans Breakfast

8:45 a.m. – Veterans Day Ceremony

This year's guest speaker, Greta Batton, a 1987 Benjamin Logan graduate, will return to her alma mater for this special occasion. During her time at Benjamin Logan, Greta participated in choir, band, flag corps, theater, yearbook, and newspaper. She went on to serve 26 years in the United States Air Force, holding positions in security forces, criminal analysis, human resources, and military leadership.

Following her retirement in 2014, Greta began a career in real estate and continued her dedication to community service. She currently serves as Senior Vice Commander of Beavercreek Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8312 and holds leadership positions with Rotary and the Greene County Food Pantry.

A special recognition will honor U.S. Army veteran Dale Clapsaddle, a 1968 Logan Hills High School graduate who served during the Vietnam War as a heavy equipment mechanic. Following his military service, Dale earned a degree in Agricultural Engineering from The Ohio State University and worked at TRC. He also volunteered with the Perry Township Fire Department and currently serves as adjutant officer of the Zanesfield American Legion Post, helping coordinate local youth participation in the American Legion Boys State program.

Dale will receive an American flag flown above the Logan County Courthouse in October as part of the Logan County Commissioners' annual Veterans Day partnership.

The ceremony will also feature student band and choir performances, readings, and special tributes.
