Hooked on Creativity!!!!

Our City of Berea Active Senior Network Hooks & Needles group is bursting with talent and creativity!

Just look at their amazing creations—from beautiful quilts and cozy blankets to adorable coasters shaped like a star and even some that look like little flower pots, and even spooky adorable ghosts made with glow-in-the-dark yarn!

These talented ladies really know how to stitch up something special!

Interested in joining the fun? Hooks & Needles meets every Thursday from 10 AM–Noon in the ASN Room at the Berea Recreation Center. All skill levels are welcome!

Come for the creativity, stay for the conversation and friendship!

The City of Berea’s Active Senior Network got into the Halloween spirit today with some Wii Bowling fun! Lots of strikes, spares, smiles, and a little friendly competition!

And we can't forget Brenda, who really nailed the Halloween spirit with her adorable candy corn and mummy-inspired nails! Talk about getting into the spirit right down to your fingertips!

Who says you can't scare up a good time while knocking down some pins?

BREAKFAST WITH THE BROS!

Good food, great conversation, and even better company!

The City of Berea's Active Senior Network brought the guys together at Perk Cup for another enjoyable morning of Breakfast with the Bros!

This program is all about giving our senior gentlemen an opportunity to get together, share stories, enjoy a few laughs, make new friendships, and simply enjoy each other's company over a delicious breakfast.

This morning was extra special as the guys celebrated Ray's 91st birthday! What a wonderful milestone and a great reason to gather with friends, share some laughs, and make more memories! Happy 91st Birthday, Ray!

Sometimes the best conversations happen over a cup of coffee!

A special thank you to Perk Cup for providing such a welcoming place for our guys to gather!

Here's to good friends, great stories, special celebrations, and many more breakfasts with the bros!

What a fun day at the Grand Pacific Popcorn Company in Olmsted Falls!

Owner Jeff welcomed our two groups of seniors and gave us a fascinating look at how they make the 40+ delicious flavors of popcorn available in their store, along with the history of their storefront. We enjoyed plenty of tasty samples and each got to choose a favorite flavor to take home!

A big thank you to Jeff for hosting our groups and sharing your time, stories, and delicious popcorn with us!

What a wonderful day of creativity and fun! Our seniors enjoyed painting on canvas and expressing themselves through art. One gentleman even created an amazing WWII-inspired painting entirely from his own creativity. It was wonderful to see so much talent, imagination, and joy in one room!

For upcoming Painting classes - keep an eye out for dates in the monthly Berean Newsletter.
