A day late, but the gratitude is year-round! ❤️🚒🚓

Yesterday was National First Responders Day, and I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible men and women who answer the call when our communities need them most.

A special thank you to our volunteer firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, dispatchers, and all those who dedicate their time to keeping our communities safe.

Living in a small community reminds me just how much these individuals give of themselves, often behind the scenes and without expecting recognition.

Thank you for everything you do! ❤️

It was great to see everyone who joined us Saturday for training at the MT Sun Solar Farm on Alkali Creek Road! ☀️

Thank you to ACT Power Services for bringing team members from several states, including as far away as North Carolina, to train our volunteers. They showed us how the farm operates day to day, walked us through emergency response considerations, and shared the contact information we would need if an incident occurred.

We were glad to train alongside volunteers from the Broadview and Molt Volunteer Fire Departments. Thank you to everyone who took the time to be there and help our departments prepare together!

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation.

We honor the innocent lives lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the courageous firefighters, law enforcement officers, first responders, military members, and everyday citizens who ran toward danger to help others.

May we never forget their bravery, their sacrifice, and the way our country came together in the days that followed.

From all of us at Fuego Volunteer Fire Company: we remember, we honor, and we will never forget. 🇺🇸

It’s hot, then it’s cold… and before we know it, we’re covering the tomatoes! 😂🥶

Billings has a 50% chance of seeing its first frost by September 28 and its first freeze by October 7. If you have a garden or sensitive outdoor plants, now is a good time to start watching those nighttime temperatures!

Welcome to fall in Montana—where the weather always keeps us guessing! 🍂

[9/10 2:20pm] Do you have a garden or sensitive outdoor plants? Nights are getting cooler and it's time to start thinking about upcoming frost & freeze potential. These tables show climatological probabilities for frost (36°), freeze (32°) and hard freeze (28°) at several stations, based on 1991-2020 normals. As an example, there is a 50% chance that Billings will see a freeze by October 7th.

Welcome to Montana—where you might mow the lawn in a winter coat today and need sunscreen tomorrow! 😂❄️☀️

Here’s what Mother Nature has planned for us:

💨 Today: Breezy with temperatures in the 70s
☀️ Wednesday: Sunny and pleasant, with highs around 80°
🔥 Thursday: Near 90° with gusty winds and low humidity, creating elevated fire-weather conditions
🥶 Thursday evening: A cold front moves in—because, well…Montana!

Please be extra cautious Thursday with anything that could create a spark, and report any fires immediately. Stay safe, everyone! 🚒
