North Shelby Library Is searching for a few green thumbs.
The library has a number of plants both inside the building, and they need more attention than the library staff can give.
If you are a master gardener or have a knack for tending plants, the library would be most grateful for your help. Some plants need repotting; others simply need occasional tender loving care.

If this volunteer opportunity is of interest to you, please contact Director Michelyn Reid at [email protected] or (205) 439-5540. She will fill you in on specific details.

DONATIONS OF CHILDRENS' BOOKS NEEDED!

The book sales held by the Friends of North Shelby Library help pay for many things at North Shelby Library. Our stock of childrens' books to sell is almost depleted, so we're asking for donations of new, like new, or gently used children's books that we can sell to raise funds for the library. If you can donate these much needed books, please come the front desk, and if you need help or need a cart, someone can provide it.

We appreciate the help we receive from our patrons. If you don't have time or the ability to volunteer, donating books is a great way to assist the Friends in their fund raising efforts.
