Christmas Season officially starts tomorrow, so today we changed out the sales table on the 2nd floor. It now features Holiday books. We tried to get a variety of Holidays, but most we found were Christmas. There are a few children's books in random holidays. We'll pull more as we find them and leave this table up through December. Enjoy!

Just a reminder that all sponsorships and donations to Trivia Night are due by Friday, October 16th. They can be dropped off at the library. If that doesn't work for you, please email me at [email protected] to arrange other pickup or drop off options. Thank you again for supporting our fundraiser!

Thank you so much to all the businesses and customers who participated in Dolly Days. Downtown Boone said you helped raise $863.02 for the Friends of the Ericson Public Library. As always, all money raised by the Friends or donated to the Friends goes directly back to helping support programs and services at Ericson Public Library. Thanks everyone!

This year’s Banned Books Week coincides with the American Library Association’s official 150th anniversary. To mark the occasion, ALA has released a list of the 150 most challenged books documented from 1990 -- when ALA's Office for Intellectual Freedom began tracking book challenges -- through 2025.

See the full list at ala150.org/150books.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible community support showered upon our beloved Ericson Library! Earlier this week, the amazing La Homa Simmonds, LMT Central Iowa Massage ignited a spark of kindness by presenting a $500 donation to our Library, thanks to a remarkable fundraiser during 'Dolly Day' in Boone, IA on 9/25. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! This generous gift will empower our extraordinary youth programs at Ericson Library and enrich our book collection for Children & Youth, shaping bright futures and inspiring young minds! 🙏💫 ~ Ronda & Mr. Z
