The Cooperative Programs for the Advancement of Earth System Science (CPAESS) is a new program that combines the expertise of the former Joint Office for Science Support (JOSS) and the Visiting Scientist Programs (VSP) programs.

🎯 REGISTER NOW for the 2026 Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) Science Team Meeting on Nov 3 to 6, 2026 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The SWOT mission brings together two communities focused on a better understanding of the world's oceans and its terrestrial surface waters. U.S. and French oceanographers and hydrologists and international partners have joined forces to develop this satellite mission to make the first global survey of Earth's surface water, observe the fine details of the ocean's surface topography, and measure how water bodies change over time. https://cpaess.ucar.edu/meetings/2026-swot-science-team-meeting
